    Labels

The only way I have been able to do that is when opening up the item's label tab in the DBX is to either tap the space bar to move it horizontally or the enter key to move it down further. I suppose you could also set the item to not show the label and enter a text description at the size font you desire and place it manually?
  2. You should post questions in Q&A for future reference, as most people look there first. What I do when I run into these is just use the soffit tool and you can put the top right at the ceiling and make the width, height and depth be whatever you have on the site. What program are you using?
  3. I don't know what Suite has for options, yet in the bonus catalogs, you can download a Wayfair catalog and pull items from that.
  4. While you can't necessarily mull them to save in your library, you can place a transom above a window and then copy/paste the combination around your plan.
  5. Don't know that you have any really. When cities and towns have theirs done, it's usually a State or Government funded project is my guess. They aren't going to break it down into every lot, especially when the land isn't broken up. That's why people need to have their lots surveyed professionally for buying, selling and modifying real estate and their homes. Depending on how good you are at reading a transit, I suppose you could mark your property boundaries and string out a grid system and shoot elevations of each of the corners of the grid. Depending on the size of your grids will determine how many days or weeks you will spend trying to do this.
  6. Short of paying for an actual survey of your lot, I really don't think there's anything out there that will specifically show your lot.

    2D Symbol

For your circle w/letter, use "callout" under text & put in whatever letter/number you want. Simple enough to do and no need to save anything For the hose bib, it's in the core catalog. Architectural>Exteriors>Irrigation>Hose bibs & accessories

    Floor framing

In section view you can, where you would call out the specs, yet I have not seen it in floor plan view. Plus it really isn't a framing item. Look for the blocking right above the joists in the drop down list. Remember every view has to have the correct items turned on to display

    Floor framing

My guess is that those joists are under walls on the floor above? Those joists get doubled during construction by code in most regions. Looks like you still need to add your beams and blocking in there as well.
  11. When you find the item you want, look at its default settings. My thought is if you open the item, then raise the height 3/4" of an inch to make up for the thinner counter.
  12. if you change the height of the countertop, then you need to change the height of the sink.
  13. I create wall types and keep them in master plans that I generate all of my projects from. Open the wall types dialog, copy the one you want to change, rename it and change the fill to hatches or whatever look you want them to have. Even change the color of the hatches so you know which type of wall it is. If you are doing an "as is" plan and showing existing walls, then copying the plan to a "proposed" version, change the existing walls to invisible. They keep their position and you can work around them easier.
  14. Do you have "automatically regenerate deck framing" unchecked under the "deck" tab in the room specifications DBX? If you have changed the framing around, sometimes it's easier to just use the material painter and paint each board individually.
  15. Have you tried using the stair tool for an "L" shaped stair? Should make it a lot easier for you.
  16. Do a section cut through the stairs. Then you can manually dimension from the tread to the opening above, as long as you have created a stairwell. I find the "point to point" measuring works best, especially if you draw a line from the nose of each tread in the area you need to measure.

    Pool table

Depending on which version/year program you have, check the library tab for bonus catalogs. Under "Accessories" there are some new ones for purchase like "Man Cave No.5 Rat Pack" that look to have pool tables.
  18. I always use an excel spreadsheet with columns labeled. Type in the info and then copy/paste into a text block in the plan
  19. Did you create the stairwell with the stairwell tool when you created the stairs? Your reference manual is a great help for a lot of your inquiries and will save you time.
  20. Yes, Architectural won't let you adjust the joist depth. There have been other threads about what people do to make up for the differences.Search for them. It's a tough thing to get used to. Plus, if I remember right, the default floor uses I-joists only.
  21. Which program do you have? Pro, Architectural, Suite....? Just HD 15 doesn't help. If you have anything less than Pro, that's probably where your problem lies.
  22. You could try making them from cones & cylinders. It worked in "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer!", lol

    stairs

Please post your plan for a better answer. Yet 1st pass at it could be that there's no terrain for the stairs to reference to.
  24. I imagine you could even try locking the baseline when it's where you want it, then set the ridge to be 14'. Or add the rafter depth if you want the inside dimension to be 14'?
  25. Have you checked the library for downloadable manufacturer catalog files? There are several stone companies there that may work for your needs.
