  1. Please see my camera view attached. In line with the outermost structural posts beneath my deck, I would like to enclose the underside of the deck with Hardie Plank Lap Siding to match the house and help with fire protection. So far, I haven't been able to figure out how to do this. Any advice will be greatly appreciated... Ali and Tad 041322 Camera View.pdf
  2. Thank you, Eric. Should I be able to use the Build Foundation function in any way, so I'd have the footings also? I think I understand correctly that I wouldn't be able to slide the foundation wall under the edge of my deck? Would this be any easier with Architectural or Professional?
  3. Ali and Tad 040422 A.planI have used 'CAD Draw Box' command to represent Four Planters I'd like to add to my plan. This deck plan is for my kid's house in the Austin, Texas area where a popular building material there is Limestone block. Using 'Suite', is there a way I can add these planters, so they show up as block, and in 3D view? From my top deck floor elevation, the top elevation of the planters would be at minus 16", two at -48", and the smallest and darkest one at -80". I'd like to end up with the planter walls adjacent to decks, for those block walls to extend up to the bottom of deck framing.
  4. When designing multilevel decks, is it recommended to begin with the uppermost, or lowermost level, or does it not matter?
  5. Eric thank you! So far, my upper deck railing stayed up where I want it.
  6. David thank you. I'm trying to visualize how to do this. With my upper deck drawn, and the elevation of my lower deck high enough to require railings, seems like I need to draw all four sides of the lower deck independent of the upper deck, not just connect it at two points like I would if drawing a deck without railings. Does this sound correct? I've checked out a lot of tutorials to try on my own to figure this out but have struck out.
  7. Each time I try to add new lower deck levels, it messes up my upper deck railing. Please see below. Perhaps I'm working out of sequence or am not understanding my settings? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
  8. Eric, Thank you for your replies. I have just started with version Suite. I realize I will have some limitations but want to master as much as I can before spending more $. So far, I'm really liking the software. I have updated my signature to include my version. Hopefully you can now see it. Here's the camera view which has the floating beam I'd like to get rid of.
  9. This is my first time to use forum so hopefully I've correctly attached the file which has the camera view with my issue. In camera view I see a small section of framing which appears to be floating in air. I'd like to delete it, but it doesn't show up in my floor plan and I can't select it in camera view. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you. Ali and Tad 031122 Revise Deck Outline.plan
