Did you rebuild the roof?
-
I don't think 24x36 D size paper printing ability showed up until HD Pro 2021
-
Use a rectangular poly line and make the "fill style" stone or gravel. You can adjust the size of it through the setting tab.
-
There are some fire wood piles in some of the bonus catalog if you haven't checked there yet?

I will go the deck framing plan, transform/replicate the rim joists the thickness they are. Then edit them to keep the height the same, change the thickness to 3/4" or 1/2", then close the gap between the new joists and the framing. Then you can transform/replicate on the "Z" axis, adjust the thickness again if you wish. Then make that item a lattice. From a side elevation, you can adjust that piece to the height you need. Depending on what catalogs you have, there is a diagonal lattice that works pretty good. Just adjust the material and texture properties down to a size opening you want. Then you can even paint the material white or whatever color you want it to be.

Did you search the bonus catalogs? Go to Library>Get Additional Content Online and look there. Some will need to be purchased, yet there are quite a few catalogs to view and download. Maybe something there will work for you, or at least be representative of the fixtures you're looking for.

Depending on what type of work you do, you may want to look at upgrading to Pro before you get too many master created. If you design with complicated roofs, want the ability to change floor framing materials defaults, use arched windows, etc., you'll find it's worth it in the long run with the added flexibility of design.

What you do is create the new template. Then when you start a new plan using that template, hit "save as" first and then rename it. That way your master stays the same and you can change your defaults for the new plan without it changing anything in your master.

Decorative Truss Visualization In Full Camera Views

I imagine you could also make the plates and bolts from geometric shapes in the library so you can adjust sizes right in the program. Use the "Closed box" for the plate and "Horizontal cylinder" for the bolts. -
Ah, ok. I couldn't remember which year it became available.

If it doesn't have to be hollowed out, could you possibly use an inverted wedge to simulate the door being open? Or look at the differences from Pro 2020 to Pro 2021. I believe there's an option now to show cabinets open or closed. A $200 investment might be easier to swallow than going to Chief.
-
You can also use a room divider and make it invisible so it doesn't show on the inside.
-
There is also a Bonus catalog you can purchase that is just lighted mirrors. One of them may serve your purpose too.Or post your plan so someone can see what settings you have on or off.

Go to your default》wall types. Then open the wall you want, check the definition and change the color. It's something that was changed in the 2021 version
-
Did you type in "Bookcase" in your library browser? There are some in there, and if you have downloaded the "Wayfair" bonus catalog you should find even more. And as Eric said, depending on what it looks like, you can start with a cabinet and modify it.

One of the things that happened in Pro 21 is that the terrain will not build under items that overhang the ground. Such as bump out fireplaces, bay windows, etc. What you do in those cases is go to Terrain>Terrain hole and draw a hole around the 1st floor area that you don't want grass in. Just draw it to the foundation line, not the framing. Then uncheck" hide terrain intersected by building" and that will get the grade to hit your foundation. It may not be the fix for this situation, yet probably something to keep in mind as you do more plans.

Change the material to fir framing, check the materials to make sure it's fir framing. Then back out of the view, then go back in
-
Copy the wall to a new one and delete the 2 layers of drywall

The part that makes me nervous is the last sentence that says "see if." Sounds like the potential exists to possibly wreak havoc with the other features. Think I'll live with the offset footing until it gets fixed down the road.
-
Yeah, it's been that way from the time I upgraded. I use a default 20 x 12 footing in my plans and haven't gone to a 10". Don't know if that is centered, though one would think it would use the same "formula" as when you change the size of a window which keeps the center.
-
David, Pro 2021 has the foundation footing off center by default. It is not a setting that us users can change. All we can change is the width and depth.
-
You can click on the object using "transform/replicate" to move it along the x or y axis. Type in the fractional distance you want it to go.
-
It looks like a small enough plan to maybe start over. Without knowing what it's supposed to look like, it's hard to accurately provide a solution. I am wondering if the walls on floor 1 are supposed to be concrete, or did you use a foundation wall to build them? If so, that could be why the beam is mixed in with the floor joists.
-
Take the beams you have drawn, copy them, then go to floor 0 and paste-hold position and see if that helps? You can always use your perspective-framing overview and see how they are shown and their location
-
I see that and am looking at it. The beams holding up the 1st floor would be drawn on the basement (floor 0) level and the 2nd floor beams on the 1st floor (floor 1)
