Yea, 2 to 3 seconds is not slow, the larger the plan, the slower it gets, further when you start adding fixtures, furniture, plants, trees, landscaping and materials it slows down and that's just 2d mode, it gets slower when you go into 3d mode.

In the library browser, go to Interiors>accessories>rugs. Choose the rug you want and place it in the room, type rugs in the search bar, pick the material and apply to the rug.

Here's an example just using soffits and a box shape. Took about 10 minutes to do.
-
Timeless, It's not a difficult task to do, you can use cabinets, soffits, box shape or a slab. Then you shape those objects around the tub. Remove the slab and polylines and use the objects mentioned.

Go to 3d Warehouse and search for barrel ceiling....
-
Have you tried using a full height cabinet and then make changes using the specification box?
-
Using a Half Wall, place it a 1" or so on the stair. Open the specification box and make your changes, to get the glass, change it from solid to panel and then click materials>panel, click select material and change to glass. To get the cable rails you have to use a object from 3d warehouse and then edit the object in Sketchup.

Your Welcome! Keeping trying and learning what the software can and cannot do...

Here is a modified version of the plan... kim's house2-1.plan

What katalyst said, you can size/shape the rooms to your liking.
-
For my questions: 1. Stairs - I've read through and tried the "creating a stairwell", but I must be doing something wrong. I'll try again tonight or tomorrow and see if I can make progress again. Delete the invisible walls on the 2nd floor, then use the auto stairwell tool to create the stairwell. 2. Room labels - I was able to use the marquee/delete option and it seems to have worked. Although I did get a new duplicate Master Bdrm label at some point again, but was able to delete just that one. Click edit>delete objects, check all rooms and then check text click delete. On the front Porch click on the railing(s), click newels/balusters and change the spacing to 100. Raise the the ceiling height or pitch for Master bedroom dormer.

chiefuser, As solver suggested, POST THE PLAN!
-
I hoped you backed up the plan before deleting everything inside!!! All you had to do was right click on the file. click send to>compressed(zipped) folder. There was no need to delete all that stuff.

It means your walls are out alignment or not connected correctly.

For some reason Suite won't allow you to resize some doors and windows. The Octagonal window comes in 2 sizes 24" and 36", as have you seen, it won't allow you to resize it. The workaround is to use the pass thru tool and then add 2 wedges and 2 inverted wedges, resize to your liking.

Here's what it should look like when your done. Once you have the roof to your liking, turn off auto rebuild roofs and delete the center walls. butterfly.plan
-
Like Jo Ann said you create a room in the center for separation, then you gable the side the walls, click the front wall, open it specification box and click high shed/gable wall. Use the break wall tool for the center room, and uncheck full gable wall.

From the library catalog click Architectural>Windows
-
One method you could try is to use the break line tool. On the overhang, break the line in 2 places and drag it back to the wall. Go slowly when you get closer to the wall.. For the curved roof, open the dormer specification box click roof type>barrel...

Pro and Premier are for people who do that kind of work for a living, If you want do this for fun or as a hobby then I would go with Architectural. Like David said learn what the software can and cannot do BEFORE you step up to higher versions.
-
In Suite you can reverse the plan ie: the left side becomes the right side, that's it. You cannot move the house as a whole, you would have to redraw the plan. As David said, you can edit the terrain to whatever you want it to be.
-
In short, use the break wall tool...
-
Turn off auto rebuild foundation and build manually, use the 1st floor as a reference.
-
Install the sink as a standalone then resize it. Download the Kohler or Elkay collection from the site, many sinks to choose from. Suite doesn't let you create a toekick once you delete it. You have to reinstall the cabinet.
