With dimensions turned on, it should look like this....
-
Click>Tools>Display options>Dimensions Automatic
-
I think in this situation you should post the plan. Something about the picture ain't right.

They do snap... you install a cabinet, then install the next one apart from the first one, click select objects arrow and then move the cabinet it will snap. Don't hold down the control key when moving, it will over ride the snap tool.

I agree with your statement, but your question has been answered twice (Elovia and Katalyst). Stacked Stone is a material and it covers separately. You can't adjust the material itself, you have to add soffits, shapes and terrain features and then paint them. As been stated you can use a soffit or a shape to cover the foundation and apply the material to it or you can simply paint the foundation to your liking.

I am having the same issues plus more, when I click on something, it automatically opens it, when I click ok it closes and reopens again. When I click on a material or object sometimes the library browser disappears. When I click on a wall or object it "sticks" for about 3 seconds or so. These same problems were in 2014,2015, 2016 and 2017. Seems like the software doesn't like Nvidia Graphic cards.

In Suite you can't, you have to upgrade to Pro for multiple editing. Click Edit>default settings>windows
-
No, not with Suite, you would have too upgrade to HD Pro to manually edit the roof. Click on the rooms and walls to see what was done.

turn the cabinet so that front face is toward the room, extend the overhang for the cabinet or use a box shape and resize.

Here what I came up with. Added a second floor and lowered it. Changed the default pitch to 8 eave overhang to 12 Changed the pitch for the Porch and Screen room to 6. Replaced the screen room windows with screens. Farm House 3-1.plan

Go to the Home Designer site and download the Energy Sources catalog.

Chris, My apologies because I did not save the the plan, to answer the question Yes. Put the cabinet inside the doorway and then extend the cabinet overhang to your liking. The box shape is the one that let's you fill in the gap without being cut off.

Here's What I came up with using Suite. Framed Chamfer Doorway Cabinets and a Box shape In Pro use the Custom Countertop instead of the cabinet countertop and box shape.
-
Import the image to Home designer and trace over it.
-
Take a picture of the wall, save as a .jpeg and import to you're hard drive. Open HD and Right click on User Catalog>new.>material Click texture> select - a box will open, find the picture on your hard drive and click open. Click " Stretch to fit" click OK

Do a search on the Home Designer site for Bay windows

Darren, If you would please post your plan, If you use footings it won't build the foundation. If you use a slab it will build the foundation for the Porch. With Auto Build Foundation OFF it will not build. I think you taking the wrong approach to the problem.

difficulty selecting / changing exterior wall material for dormers
LawB10 replied to HuskerJack's topic in Q&A
That's not how you do that for Dormers, simply click on the Paint can icon, a dialog box will open, choose the material you want click OK and apply it to the object. I recommend not using the material definition tool as it's not needed for what you want to do. -
Like Elovia said, you would have to create the ceiling using a Arc or go to 3d warehouse and search for Barrel Ceiling. I have the file but cannot upload, the forum doesn't allow it.

Also check to see if you have Auto Rebuild Foundation turned on....

Here's what I came up with using Suite 2016..... One thing I notice was none of the walls are Gabled. Looking at the pics, that's not a 8" pitch I think the end walls should be gabled and then extend the roof down.

Is this is what your trying to do? The shed roof is ceiling height is 132" with Auto roof TURNED ON, Once built, TURN OFF Auto roofs and check the default box for that room. shed flat roof.plan
