  1. Where does the south wall roof baseline go? Which wall is it over?
  2. What I was suggesting is an outline of the roof you want. Something like this. Are you wanting something like this?
  3. Don't understand what you want to do. You have not indicated North, South etc on the plan. Try marking up the plan showing the outline of the roof you want, or showing us a picture etc. Have you tried using a Roof Baseline Polyline? Not sure if it would help since I don't understand the problem.
  4. Has someone else worked on the plan? You have a layer display problem. When you take a section/elevation, switch to the Camera View Set. You should see the missing items. This is usually the problem when something you expect to see is not shown -- the layer its on is not set to display in the current layer set.
  5. Your .plan file -- not a picture of the plan.
  6. Posting an image or 2 will help us see what you see. Posting your plan file will help us solve the problem.
  7. What gap? Here is a short video going over the plan. http://youtu.be/9iJOiB0PHjk?hd=1
  8. Slab for the curb. Another Slab, or a Custom Countertop for the cap. Posting an image of the existing shower will help.
  9. Stairs normally display on the floor they are drawn on, so your stairs should display on the garage level and not above. Enclose the stairs with walls forming a room. You may need to make the room Open Below.
  10. I don't understand what you are trying to determine. Here is a window done in Suite. Your rough opening will be larger than the window. The window frame size has nothing to do with the window or rough opening size. Are you concerned about room for wall framing?
  11. And I'll agree with Keith -- manual roofs take a bit of practice, but they are one of the main reasons for having pro and very worth learning. Here is a video doing the roof and end of the porch. http://youtu.be/QaJe-bvT2dw?hd=1
  12. Draw a manual roof plane.
  13. What Jo Ann said works for tile too.
  14. I'm not clear on what you are trying to do. You can specify columns as part of the railing, or you can manually place columns (like the larger one here) wherever you want.

    Pole Barn

Did you try a forum search? There may also be relevant info in the Knowledge Base. There is no "easy way". The program is designed for conventional construction, but a pole barn is doable.
  16. Change the floor in the garage to a value less than 0, then make sure the ceiling height is correct.
  17. Posting your plan file (just like you did the images) will give others something to work with.
  18. The program lacks a defined way of adding these. It's been requested many times. The simple solution is to create a detail like is shown in your first image. You can add thickness to your roof planes so they show in the correct spot. Draw the purlins with CAD lines.
  19. A dxf file is useless. Please post your plan file, or images -- use the Snipping tool if on Windows. Why a continuous footing? I've seen plenty of houses sitting on piers, but none with continuous footings. Why not a slab on grade? Draw a slab the correct size. Use point-to-point move to place it. Draw a CAD box (closed polyline) which will snap to your other CAD line work, and convert it to a slab.
  20. Just tried in Pro 2109 -- should be the same as 2018, and it snaps to CAD. Can you use temporary dimensions to move? And why draw a CAD line to represent your foundation, then draw a slab -- why not just draw the slab? You can convert a closed polyline to a slab too. Select the polyline, choose Convert Polyline, pick Slab.

    Sunken shower

Thanks Ron. I'm not sure what you want the foundation to look like, but see if this plan helps. You can select the wall in an exterior elevation and move the edges (bottom, sides and top) -- I've moved the middle part up so it's even with either side, and used a slab to fill in the gap. You can open the wall and reset it to its default bottom height to see. You will need to have auto rebuild foundations off for this to work. I probably did some other things, but that was early this morning ... shower.plan
  22. I would let the contractor doing your concrete work calculate rebar/mesh. It can vary from what the software shows depending on local customs/codes. And draw a CAD detail showing your floor assembly.
  23. Yes, I post that for every new user. Have you tried doing what you want -- defining the floor structure?
