Are you saying you have made manual changes to the roof? If so, just do the gable manually.

If you are using the software as part of your business, consider creating a new template that has all the automatic features off. Things like auto roof build and auto dimensions. For transferring field notes into a plan, temporary dimensions work well. You draw the rough shape, then using temporary dimensions, working clockwise, you adjust each wall as required. You need to turn off auto dimensions for temporary dimensions to work. Exterior dimensions will change with the wall type. There are multiple good videos on YouTube -- here is a good place to start. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeEQHt3fvgE Suggest you spend an hour or so every day watching the videos and practicing what they show. As Jo Ann said, the Users Guide contains a tutorial which will also be helpful. The program is designed to build the 1st floor first, and then build up or down from there, but if all you are doing is a basement remodel, there is no reason not to draw just the basement.

Where are you clicking? Where is the checkmark being inserted?

Post at ChiefTalk please, and fill out your sig there too. https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/ The quick answer is you will need a macro to round to 2 decimal places. This has been discussed, so a search should find your answer.

Yes and no. Chief Premier is to Pro like Pro is to Suite. They look and act the same, just more features.

Look up Full Camera and Floor Camera in help. Experiment with using each one.

You have 1 in a CAD Detail. Look in the Project Browser. Delete it or the other one in plan.
-
You zipped the DWG. We need the .plan file.
-
Did you find it? Just select and delete.

There are multiple ways of doing this. Here I've used a railing wall with solid panels and manually placed the screen (use a thin soffit and apply the screen material). You could use an open railing and manually place the panels and screen for a more accurate look. The KB suggests using windows, I believe, to model a screened porch.

I'm guessing you are using Pro. Draw a roof plane wherever you want, dragging it past the wall so the program knows which way is up. Then select the top edge and pull it back to the outside of the wall.

Search the library for shapes. You will find cylinders. try using one of the vertical ones, and combine with a soffit, so the cylinder is on the outside and the soffit is against the house.
-
Can you post an image of "the vertical trim that should run down the left side of the stone"?

Delete the Wall Covering and change the material in the room dialog.

Don't see it

Post plan file.

I don't believe any Home Designer product has the ability to create a hole area within another polyline shape as described above. The only thing similar is the ability to use a Skylight to make a hole in a roof plane.

Open HELP, search for Temporary Dimensions.

Turn on Temporary Dimensions
