Use a Custom Backsplash instead of a Wall Covering. Read about Textures and Patterns and how they differ. Have you checked the Knowledge Base for articles? Knowledge Base

My mistake -- Pro only. I thought Architectural had this too.

You can use the auto tools to get the shape as you like, then trace the outside main layer with a CAD line. Delete the auto generated walls and using the wall type of your choice trace over the CAD lines. Walls easily snap to and follow CAD. Windows can only get so wide -- they will hit on the inside. Look under Window Defaults and make sure Minimum Separation is set to 0.
-
For the best control these objects need to be drawn manually. You can open the auto generated ones and make adjustments. Open the Materials panel and change the Exterior, for example.

To be clear, I was referring to the floor plan, not how the software was used.

I'll suggest rethinking what you have designed, and starting over. There are too many problems to list. Have you considered hiring someone -- a talented designer or Architect? If you choose to keep this plan, suggest you work your way around moving walls and other objects so that dimensions are either full inches, or 1/2" as a minimum. No 3/8 or 7/16 etc. And if you are planning a room over the garage, it needs to be shown in the plans.

This is what is included in the living area. The area contained matches the living area label.

Could you post a screen capture so we see what you see? What do you want to see?

I try to use the auto roof builder first, getting as close as I can, then switch to manual. Think first about the basic shape of the roof, then add in the extras, like the small gables on this roof. Watch on YouTube: http://youtu.be/Qd8RVa8haaw?hd=1

Do you only care about the front? Do you know the roof pitch? Could you post the plan file?

Check the library for brackets or corbels. You can also use a Custom Backsplash -- far easier than soffits. Search my YouTube channel for a video (link in my sig).

Open a window specification dialog and poke around a bit.

What web site? Link?

Hover has been discussed on ChiefTalk and it seems you should get a PDF with dimensions, and the model, but you cannot do much (maybe anything) with the model in HD or Chief. People using Hover are doing so to get the dimensions, then using them to create an as built within Chief.

Have you tried File>Import

Depends on what you need. Make a cabinet like this and place it against the back and sides.

I don't know how to do it manually Suite is very limited and I'm not sure how I would do it. After thinking a bit, I made a video on how this might work. I'll update this as soon as it's uploaded and ready to view.

How will you waterproof the floor? Have you considered you will have an exterior wall, waterproofing, railings etc -- that is cost that could be put towards the enclosure of the deck today? Manually. Change it in Defaults, then Edit>Reset to defaults. Elevation Camera. Dimensions will be shown in plan, not evevation.

What problem are you having?

Use 2 soffits -- like it would be built.

Pictures or drawings of what you want to create?
