Not all types of objects can be blocked. I would create something like this with soffits, or slabs. Without any images everyone is just guessing.

Start by reading about Textures and Patterns. A Texture is simply an image file and the program has no knowledge of its contents. You will need to find an image that matches your needs, or create/modify one in a program like Photoshop. A Pattern is 2D and cannot be used to change a Texture.

Could you use the Slab tool to create the raised area? Not different rooms needed.

What do you mean "does not work"? Try Preferences > Reset > Reset Side Windows

A picture (screen capture) or 2 will help others see what you see. -
Don't know about that. Copy the plan then remove all the extras like furniture, cars, plants etc.
-
There is something wrong with your plan attachment. Try again and remember Pro needs to be closed before you upload the plan.

You will need to experiment.

Pony wall. Wall types can be the same, but may be painted differently. Or a Custom Backsplash.

Don't know. Would be a good question for sales/support.

No Placing a marker or moving things to 0 is easy in Pro. In Architectural with grid snaps on, place CAD lines at the 0:0 intersection for a visual. Search Tips & Techniques for Template to see how to create a custom template that could save this.

You can move walls around however you like to reduce the size.

Nothing automatic. Change one floor, you are responsible for changing others.

Ramps are typically low slope for a reason, so keep that in mind. Ramps, and stairs may also be drawn from the top down using the right mouse button (on a PC).

Someone will need the plan file to experiment with.
-
No, but you don't need to. I can do it in Premier using locked layers, but Home Designer lacks that ability, and it's not something I ever do.

I don't understand the question. And I don't understand this either What is "separately"? An addition needs to be drawn in the place it will be built. In your case, draw the house and garage, then add the new structure between. It's always a good idea to draw the existing, save that plan as a backup, then start a new plan with the addition. To get a materials list, I would make another copy of the complete plan and delete everything but the new work.
-
Yes. The addition model will be completely separate and cannot be connected to another model. If this will be used for permitting etc, you will need the existing house and the addition in a single plan. Yes.
