  1. Which rendering type are you using?
  2. Material Painter tool -- looks like a spray can.
  3. Open a plan where it's used and add it to your user library.

    Deck Railing Post

This is well discussed on ChiefTalk. https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/ Suggest you search there. There is no setting in the program to make this happen -- needs a workaround.
  5. Are you using Home Designer or Chief Architect?
  6. You don't rotate anything. Create (and save) 4 elevation cameras, one for each side. You can open the camera and rename it too. Send each camera view to layout.
  7. You are creating a plan. A layout is different, and where you would find a title block as per my image above. Suggest you work through the Tutorial found under Help to get an understanding of how the program works. As for your problem, you probably need to contact Support via the website, but try this first. Close Pro. Rename the Templates directory. Start Pro. It will create a new Templates directory from its backup. Start a new plan to test.
  8. The default layout has one. It looks like this. What do you see?
  9. I don't understand "title block template", or how anything related to Chief Architect fits with your question. What are you doing/trying to do?

Have you checked the bonus libraries?
  11. What is a "foundation peir"? Have you checked your defaults?
  12. From someone at Chief Architect (and Home Designer) posted on ChiefTalk on an upgrade order, a human has to manually verify your information which can only be done during business hours. We don't have to manually verify any new orders as long as you provide a valid payment.

    transfer my plans

That's a computer question, not a Pro question. You move them like any other file. There are lots of ways.
  16. That's it. It looks like with Pro, after you open the Layout, you will need to do a Save As, giving it the plan name and placing it in the same directory as the plan. Otherwise you will overwrite the layout.
  17. Make sure you are searching the Home Designer KB and not the one for Chief Architect. Profile.layout is the default layout file. You can save anywhere (I think), but I'd save in the default directory. Open file -- change to Layout and select the one you want.
  18. If you are considering the upgrade, the trial is free. Why not download it and experiment?
  19. Floors are not tied to structures. Go to the 2nd floor and draw walls above the garage, or anywhere else, and they will be on the 2nd floor.
  20. Do you already have a 2nd floor?

    upper rooms ?

That's the default. When you build the 2nd floor, you have the ability to make the ceiling height (and wall height) whatever you want. Using auto built roofs, you will need to turn them off and raise the ceiling height. You can build the roof and set Ignore Top Floor. It depends on how the home will be built. Will the roof sit on the 1st floor walls or on the 2nd floor deck? Just think about how the program works and how and where it builds roof planes. Also, search the Home Designer website for Cape Cod.

    upper rooms ?

Did you build a 2nd floor? You cannot build rooms on the Attic level.
  23. It's on the 2nd floor. I see no roof in the middle of the first-floor area. It helps if you post images of the problems (screen captures).
