  1. Have you tried selecting and then deleting all the cabinets? It should be obvious which ones to put back. Select all cabinets, Cut and Paste into a new plan. Select the good ones and put them back (paste hold position?).
  2. It's also helpful to know what the roof is supposed to look like.
  3. Open the railing (it's just a wall marked to be a railing) and change it from a railing to a normal wall. There isn't anything special about the auto generated stair railings.
  4. Have you tried a different browser?
  5. The program is designed for the user to draw walls, then derive the basement/foundation structure from them. It all works together. I trace plans by drawing walls over them all the time, getting close by first scaling the image/PDF etc. There are some good overviews -- 1 hour webinars on YouTube that might help. 6. Where are your first floor walls? What is the problem with the foundation?
  7. The program is designed to build walls, then define the floor structure and have the program build it. You don't generally, "build the slab first". Doing so creates a disconnect between the walls and foundation so the program places the walls at their default elevation.
  8. Are your video drivers up to date? Is your system using its best video card?
  9. That's who can help. https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/support/#contact
  10. You have changed the roof defaults incorrectly. Consider using typical pitch in inches instead of degrees. Go to Edit>Reset To Defaults and select Roof Directives in Walls (on All Floors). Fix your overhangs -- they are not 4", and then set walls to Full Gable where needed. You will need to post better images of the roof for more help. Maybe a google image showing it from above.

Like this? There is no 'shingle layer". You are seeing patterns which may be turned off via 3D>Toggle Patterns
  13. Are you using a custom template? Are you opening existing plans and making changes? Room types are stored in your template file and will be available when that template is used as swarren showed above.
  14. Where did you see the new room types? Bonus Room is not an out of the box room type in any Chief or Home Designer product. Chief has the ability to define new room types -- Home Designer does not. Do you understand the difference between Room Types and Room Names?
  15. Here this might be called a roll out pantry. Not sure how, or even if you could create one in Home Designer. Why are you asking? Do you want to show it open?
  16. Could you attach pictures and/or the plan file?
  17. You can override the default pitch in a Wall Specification dialog.
  18. Try a Pony Wall (check Help if unfamiliar) upper part Room Divider, lower part shower wall. Default Pony Wall on left.
