On the toolbar, EDIT, down to the bottom, PREFERENCES. In the dialog box that opens, left side, down at the bottom, click on 'video card status'. Take a snip of the box that opens, and post it here.

It IS the SAME tile, only better.
-
Try adding this jpeg. It tiles better.

I doubt that that would resolve the issue. Considering that you are able to paint Pro core materials, would seem to suggest that there is an issue with the way you are adding the file, or even the file itself.
-
I believe that you have removed the sdxc (D) drive from your pc and then HD Pro can no longer find the file. When you moved the file onto a Windows folder, did you go to the NEW location of the file to re-add it to the library?
-
Are you able to paint other textures from the library core materials to the backsplash?
-
I see that 'SDXC' card is highlighted when you are choosing the jpeg file. Try moving the file to your pc in the 'my documents' or 'my pictures' folder. Then re-add the file to your library. Try it and see if it works.

Suggestion: Pay more attention to the 'add floor' dialog box that pops up.

Adding the jpeg file to the library, and then painting it to the backsplash, works like it's supposed to (when I tried it on your plan). The only thing I can suggest, is to delete the pattern from your library and then begin over (re-add the jpeg to the library). Maybe that will fix whatever went wrong. The soffit: If you zoom in real close (2d view) you can see the outline of the soffit (you changed it to a light yellow, and that's why you can't see it). Open the tool display for the 2d view, and change it back to the original grey. Why are you using a soffit for the step? Copy/paste the single step that you already have, position it, and it will automatically wrap.

I see that you have the 'open below' room on floor 2 configured correctly to show the stair railing not connecting to a ceiling. So, have you figured out how to get the upper stair (2 steps) solid railing, with out having the wall connecting to the floor? In your pic, it looks as though you have?

Did you go to 'Preferences' and not just the 'Reset to Defaults' option under the EDIT tool bar ? Also, right click in the tool bar area and make sure everything is checked. Other than that, read up on Tool Bars in the reference manual. And it does say that closing and re-starting the program (after resetting to defaults) is necessary for the changes to take effect.

If this is what you want to see, then this is how to do it.

How tall is the stone wall ? Do you really want just a trim board on the siding 6, or a cap on the top of the stone wall ? The pic shows a cap on the stone wall, and most stone walls have a cap. I think that a soffit is a good choice, but I have another idea.

Make sure ceiling (B) height is the same in all the 'rooms' under the shed roof.
-
1. If you do not want the roof eave showing below the dormer, then you can not use the dormer tool to place the shed dormer. Read up on dormers in the knowledge base. 2. The only way I can see to change the pitch of the garage front gable, is to extend the gable portion of the wall slightly outward, adding 2 side walls. The side walls allow you to change the pitch.

The only way to cover up the triangle holes (using Suite) is to use an inverted wedge shape (library). You need one thin wedge for the exterior (siding material), and one thin wedge for the interior wall (drywall).

OR... Instead of choosing 'auto stairwell', on floor 2, draw in your own 'open below' room, using room divider walls. The room divider wall shown in red, is close to (but NOT touching) the framing wall. The wall framing will not change.

Hint: If you want the ceiling on the porches to 'clean-up', check 'use soffit surface' (room structure tab). The deck has a problem, and the ceiling doesn't 'clean-up'. Look closely at the roof on the east side of the deck. Zoom in to the east wall of the deck, and align it with the exterior siding wall. Shazam!

Fix #1 still works, but you need to rebuild the foundation (delete, then rebuild foundation OR open the default settings/foundation and recheck 'auto rebuild foundation'). Fix #2 (garage) worked in the old plan, but does not seem to work in the 'stripped' plan. Instead, highlight the wall, then hit the 'tab' key, then drag down the wall. If you want a real backsplash in the laundry room, you should use the custom backsplash tool instead of a wall covering. I see that you changed the back porch to a deck, but you still have the 'plank03 decking' material surface showing. In the room structure tab, put a check in the 'floor finish(K)' default box. Then on the materials tab, change the 'deck planks' to a wood texture. If you want the deck boards to show better, on the deck structure tab, change the deck plank width to about 5/8. You can also change the plank direction on this tab.

You know that invisible wall inside the fireplace? Un-check 'invisible' and the basement walls will build (assuming 'auto rebuild foundation walls' is still turned on). On level '0', the garage and shop have no foundation wall separating them. Extend one of the existing foundation walls to separate them, and see if that fixes the problem.

Ditto what Eric said. You have not followed the guide rules, and you need to clean up the mess. You can NOT have a roof eave overhang set at 1/4"! The roof will not cut off the attic wall. I'm thinking that this is why your attic walls are invisible? WRONG WAY! With that being said, if this is what you are trying to do, my preferred method is this: Build a second floor (set as "BLANK" in the dialog box that appears) and set the ceiling height (which sets the roof height) that you want the roof to build above the 1st floor. Turn ON the floor reference tool, and draw each wall. Then make sure the new walls are "aligned with wall below". Set each wall roof tab (gable, high shed gable). I'm presuming that you also want this "room" set as "open below".

You need to be a LOT more descriptive about the "look" you are trying to achieve.
