The 1st pic is how it looks with the ceiling. The 2nd pic is how it looks without the ceiling. The 3rd pic is how looks when you adjust the attic wall(s). The ceiling height for the dormer is 84" and the pitch is 4", the main roof's pitch is 12". It becomes an issue when you remove the ceiling.

Sorry to say, but you would have to upgrade to Chief Architect Premier to do that...

Solver, Suite has the auto dormer tool, but you can also build it manually, it's not a true dormer, more like shed roof inside the main roof. Sailor when you build manually, you have to move the interior wall that was used to create the shed dormer UP to cover the hole.

In Suite it's best to build a 2nd floor and lower the ceiling height to 0" or your choosing. On the 1st floor, name the wraparound to Porch and gable the end walls and then lower the pitch to 6" or less.

Upload you're plan, so that members can address you're complaints. So far you have only showed a picture.

To get a smaller footprint you would have to resize the rooms, mainly the Garage, the West Master bath and the East Master bedroom. Also check the door in the sun room lol. Try this... at the Gabled walls use the break wall tool and break about 6" to 12" at end of the wall and ungable it.

Try logging into your account on the new computer, and then deactivate the license there.

Go to 3d warehouse and download the outlets you like. Keep in mind that any electrical objects won't work in the program. Example: lights will not work, the electrical connector will not connect to electrical objects.

When you open the specification box, click on the image and rotate it.

Let's go back to you're 1st post, Is that how you want the roof to look? What is the actual ceiling height of the Garage? From the Google Earth view, it looks to be 8 or 9' You mentioned a 2nd floor and a 2nd floor balcony, what room(s) will it cover? You're terrain is incorrect, you have it at over 23k. Lets start over, First, check automatic so that it returns it's default setting, close the dbx and then reopen and uncheck Automatic. Check Hide terrain intersection. Delete all contour lines so that the terrain is flat, click the elevation tool>elevation region, make to 2 region boxes one for the rear and one for the front. Move the rear region about a foot or so from the house a lower it to -104 or so, leave the front height to 0" and resize the front region until it's equal or more to the width of the house. You will have to resize both regions to get look you want.

Click file>import, then add to you're user catalog. Click 3D>3d backdrop and click select backdrop.

In addition to what Jo_Ann suggested, all the 2nd floor walls were not aligned, There was no need to use "Open Below" on the foundation, you create a room on the 1st floor and make that room "Open Below". Go to the site and download the exterior attachments catalog and other stuff you may like. ParkRoad_NEWDESIGN_2-1.plan

Here you go... Change the 2nd and 3rd floor walls to exterior walls (Siding 6 for example) and then paint them grey running blocks - bond. To get the flat roof, click each wall on the 2nd floor and change the pitch to what is equivalent to 1/4" Case Study House-1.plan

In Suite when you select the foundation to build using "walls with footings", That's what it does, it creates the wall with the footings. You can raise or lower the height of the wall. The wall that's created is a stem wall.

Not like that, You as the Administrator of that computer has to go to Control panel>User account and allow the users access to the directories and files .

That's because you manually created the roof, and used soffits when you didn't have to. Did you check the library for the beams? Rebuild the outdoor kitchen using walls and doorway(s) without the casing.

To get a flat roof all walls has to be a 1/4" pitch, from the pic it appears the balcony sits higher than the room, check your ceiling heights. Keep in mind that the Balcony would be the 2nd floor's ceiling, to keep the flat roof, you should resize the Balcony.

Come to think of it, that roof should not have build like it did. I would send this to tech support. I deleted the walls and it still built the roof for second floor.
