  1. Try using the full camera, in stead of the floor camera...
  2. The other way would be to turn off "auto rebuild foundation" and set floor D to -10" or so until it's where you want it.
  3. The side walls are attic, uncheck attic wall, no room definition and no locate....

    Half wall help

See what a pony wall does....
  5. The room type matters because it won't auto place outlets in bathrooms and closets. Garages, Porches, Balconies/decks and slabs wont be counted as living space. There's a tool called plan check (you had 124 errors lol) and it gives you the minimum the requirements for that room type i:e smoke detectors for bedrooms, kitchens.etc. It also suggests the minimum size the room type has to be. To see for yourself, build a room and name it Porch look in 3d view and see what it does, then rename it balcony, then deck, then slab. etc.
  6. Turn off Auto rebuild roofs and then change the ceiling heights to what you want. With Auto rebuild turned off, the roof will not rebuild if you change ceiling heights. Just don't turn it back on if you change the ceiling heights.

    roofs

Specifically, 1/4" pitch on each wall.
  8. Here's a bare bones version of the plan.....It's not a complicated build, just the ceiling heights were incorrect... Help copy 1.plan

    Deck direction

Of course you unchecked automatic before you made the change right?? The material definition tool will also change the direction of the planks...
  10. The plan needs a makeover, there's just to much stuff in it. First use the default ceiling heights for for the 1st and second floor. Rename the "Room type" on the first floor, the room type is Living but the room name is Laundry. That's throughout the whole plan. Lower the family room floor so the stair is usable. Check the wall alignments, are the wall niches needed in the bathrooms? Remove the invisible walls from the Garage and use the break wall tool or Gable above window tool. Both the Exterior and the interior have too much stuff lol...
  11. First - open each room specification box and uncheck "floor supplied buy the Foundation room below", uncheck monolithic slab and check floor under this room.. then check the all the defaults for each room.... Next, rename the right side garage to Porch, the outdoor shower to bath and the room next to it slab. Remove the landing that's at the second stairs, it's not needed. Use a room divider to separate the stairwell from the Garage and rename it to storage etc:. Do the same for the second floor that was done for the first floor...

Use the Dormer tool, open it's specification box and change the roof to barrel.

    Dome homes

How about posting an image or plan of what you trying to do...
  14. Could you upload an image of the rear of the house? It's best to show the front, rear and sides of the house....
  15. Here's how that would look with a 4" pitch...
  16. To get the foyer to Gable, you lower the ceiling height of the Porch...
  17. Just looking at the picture, lower the pitch on the 2nd floor and add a dormer.
  18. I used a simpler approach, Build a second floor and make the roof gambrel and then build a third floor, gable the front and rear walls and make the pitch 5 then lowered the ceiling height to 60". gambrel.plan
  19. Go to 3d Warehouse, find the grill you want click on it, click the download button then click on the version (2015, 2016, 2017). Open HD and import the .skp file you downloaded.
  20. Build a second floor, then lower the ceiling height to 0". Open the deck specification box and check "roof over this room" and then lower the pitch on each rail to 4" or so....
  21. I agree with David, that's a easy process, just open the specification box, click Doors/Drawers>Library, the software takes you to Architectural>cabinet doors drawers and panels.
  22. That's a Sketchup file. Download the software, and use it to rotate the object.
  23. Draw three walls, and then gable the side walls. That's it
