  1. Yes -- thanks. If you have a foundation/floor structure you should see something, unless these things are off in Display Options. Attach the plan file -- close Suite first, and someone will have a look.
  2. Are you using a Doll House camera?
  3. I just tested the backsplash method and found the same thing you are. I could get it to center on the wall by changing some settings, but the backsplash would disappear in 3D. Create a new plan with a wall and just your backsplash against it, post it, and I'll make you a symbol that will work.

    Porch Room Type?

Delete the foundation. Edit the floor as desired. Turn on auto rebuild foundation.
  5. I'll suggest using a Ceiling Plane instead of a slab.

  7. A concrete block texture may be applied to many surfaces. You could draw walls -- use the 8" CMU wall type for example, use slabs, soffits, custom countertops etc to assemble from parts, applying textures like block to the parts that need them. It really depends on what you want to accomplish. A 3D representation, something you could dimension and use the plan to build from etc.
  8. With Suite, you probably will need to model the parts in a program like SketchUp and then import them as symbols. You might be able to do the walls in Suite, but I don't know how you would do the roof.

    Round Window

Are you sure the error isn't saying you cannot have a lintel or sill?
  10. I still do not understand the problem. Your end truss -- I colored blue for clarity.
  11. And keep in mind that any truss generated by the program is just a placeholder for one that will be designed by an engineer.
  12. Copy and delete everything but the structure.
  13. Is the wall marked as invisible? Is there anything under the wall to hold it up? Normally an end truss goes over a wall. It seems to be. Maybe post the plan file?
  14. I don't really understand what you are asking, but I'll guess. There is a living area label that shows the total square feet. You would like it to show only the new room instead of the entire structure. For each room, you may exclude it from the total square feet. Open a room and review the General panel.
  15. No already built plan that I know of. There are some good hour long webinars on the Chief YouTube channel linked above that go over a start to finish project, and there is a tutorial linked via the Help menu.
  16. Attach the plan file (close Pro first) and someone will take a look.

    Blue Lines

Those blue lines (search Help for crosshair) are handy -- I'll suggest you try working with them for awhile. Including a screen capture showing what you describe would be most helpful.
  18. You can also adjust transparency.
  19. Upgrades are on sale now -- $69 for the latest version of Suite, $395 for the latest version of Pro. What sort of "design" are you wanting to do? I cannot imagine using anything other than Pro, but you may not need its features. Same with Architectural. Upgrade if you need something it offers.
