Open Help, search panels, read results of search.

    project browser

Home Designer products do not have a project browser.
  3. If you are following instructions, it's helpful to provide a link. One of these?
  4. These settings change how the user interface displays things, not how things are displayed on the plan.
  5. You can help yourself by reading up on default settings. Your roof defaults show 10:12 pitch, but no roof planes have that pitch -- just as an example. Your floor for the main house is best set at 0, and then you adjust the terrain up or down. Lots of small things that add up to problems. It's best to leave Auto Rebuild roofs on too so any changes you make are obvious. I changed a couple of settings and built the roof.
  6. HD locks the file while it's open, so the upload will fail. Once the file is uploaded, you can open it and go to work.
  7. With Architectural, you don't have the options to do this easily. Set the rooms in the slab building to Open Below and build the foundation. Delete the unwanted foundation walls and draw in your own slab (slab with footing if needed). For your shed roof, one wall is Hip, the opposite wall is High Shed Gable, and the other 2 are Full Gable.
  8. Not something I normally need to do. Having the plan file might help to troubleshoot. Close Pro before attaching.
  9. It's not clear to me what your house looks like. Roofs build over rooms, whose height is controlled by the ceiling height. There is also an Attic room type which has special properties related to roofs. Sometimes you need to create interior spaces to control the roof using walls and ceiling heights that do not represent the actual house. Once the roof is correct, turn off Auto Rebuild and redraw the interior to be correct. Attaching your plan file (close the program first) is also helpful for the best help.
  10. A screen capture or 2 showing the problem would be helpful.
  11. I forget that Pro lacks some of the same roof settings as Chief where you can edit the roof structure and not just the materials and framing. What are you wanting to do by using a SIP roof, for example? It's mostly the same as a framed roof, just without the framing. From Chief.
  12. Search my YouTube channel for truss or custom backsplash.
  13. How are you trying to do your measurements? The Tape Measure tool is available in Elevations. Those lines represent the roof planes.

    U Shaped Railing

This is rough, and may not do everything you need, but should get you started. I placed a landing at the top of the stairs and set its height to be the same as the 2nd floor. This gives the stair railing something to connect to and create the transitions.

    U Shaped Railing

    Have you tried?
  16. I edited my post above after David posted. Architecturally, I think it looks best to extend the room out when you have a gable above.
  17. Search my YouTube channel (link in my signature) for dimensions. There are I think 2 that may help. I see David just replied. Unfortunately he shows using manual roof tools which Architectural does not have. I did this just to have something to talk about -- is it what you want? If not, what needs to change? Once we understand your goal, someone might be able to help you get there. Or maybe this.
