Looks like there is. Fill it in so the size looks correct.

This is the only way that I know of to do what you want. The more conventional way of doing this is using CAD to draw in plan, and a material in 3D.
-
Experiment with importing an image and creating a material using the image. Use the imported image in plan, and apply the material to a flat object for your 3D view.

Read about Sloped Soffits.

You can always enter the info manually. If you want help, someone will probably need the dxf.

Where are you finding the fireplace? You can use 4 Soffits to create the surround.

Don't know what you were doing wrong, but here is what I did. Inserted a floor under your 2nd floor and defined a room on it using invisible walls. Changed the Floor Above value to lower the 3rd floor down so it's sitting on the beams. I did this mostly to produce the image so everyone understood what you wanted. I was really thinking that the beams would go on this new blank floor, but it seems they look OK as is without moving them. I would start over using a similar approach, and your concrete walls are marked as Foundation walls and probably should not be. You need to consider the final result too because decisions are additive. Looking at a problem in isolation, you might solve it, but you solution may effect something else.

Using Ctrl removes precision, and simply gives you freedom of movement. There are multiple ways to move things precisely and it often depends on which view type you are working in, and what you are wanting to position. I use Point-to-Point all the time, and frequently draw CAD lines to use in positioning objects.

Help us by showing (screen capture) what you are wanting to move and where to.

Is this what you want?

Guessing you are on the 2nd floor and the problem wall was an auto generated attic wall.
-
Try using a dormer too, at least to start. You may need to explode it and make manual changes, but it should get you started.

Check walls for No Room Definition.
-
Think about the tools you have to make this happen. Hole in the wall with trim? -- Pass Through Shelves? -- Upper cabinet without doors

No conversion needed. Download and import.

Have you checked the bonus catalogs and 3D Warehouse? This is 3 roof planes.

Suite is limited in what you can do to fix this, and the fix depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Simplest is to have 2 plans, one for interior views and one for exterior. You could change the wall to and interior wall, then manually add a layer on the exterior using shapes from the library to make it look correct
