  1. Try this one. You will need to make some adjustments but I believe Pro can do it. Untitled 12.calibz

    ROOF QUESTION

You have told the program there is no roof over the 1st floor, so it's not filling in the walls.
  3. See if you can use this. I did it in X12, so it may not work in Pro 2020. Untitled 11.calibz
  4. You need to create a new material. Plenty of documentation on how to do that.

    ROOF QUESTION

It's helpful to use Vector View when taking a screen capture as it shows details much better than standard view. Walls normally fill in automatically, and it's not obvious from your images what the problem is. If you will attach the plan file -- close Pro first, I'll take a look.
  6. Open Help, search for stairwell.
  7. A couple of pictures of the house will help someone help you.
  8. Export your material and post it here. Right click on it, choose Export Library.
  9. I don't think you can. That's called a lintel and the version you are using does not have a setting for it. You are using one of the predefined templates and much of what's in them cannot be changed.
  10. That's called a volute. You will need to do do it manually along with the balusters. Here is a symbol you can try. volute.calibz
  11. Your terrain is fine where it is. It gets created on the floor you are on when you create it.
  12. Lots of info on the Home Designer website available via a search. https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/support/article/KB-00048/downloading-library-catalogs.html
  13. Probably related to how the walls are defined. If you just want to clean up the 3D visual, I'd patch it with a soffit, or even a Custom Backsplash set to Cut Finish Layers.
  14. I did not say that. You can do quite a bit with Suite, if you understand the program and how to work with its limitations. I cannot imagine designing a house with innovative wall layers, interfaces, and advanced framing using Suite or Architectural. Pro is very capable and probably all you would need to do construction documents. Chief Premier has many additional features that make the work easier/faster etc, but the core is essentially what you have with Pro. One thing you might consider is buying Premier, then selling it at the end of the project.
  15. Architectural and Suite have about the same roof tools. Pro would make it simple. You could rent Pro for a month to finish the design and do your construction documents.
  16. Can you explain "remove them". Do you want to delete them?

    Bonus Catalogs

What $60 a month are you referring to? Your question might be best addressed to Chief directly. Many catalogs can be downloaded free of charge, some are available for optional purchase, and some are only available to Chief Architect Premier users with active Support and Software Assurance (SSA).
  18. Could you point us to that phrase in the documentation?
  19. Why not use a framing member like I show?
  20. A picture of what you want, or a verbal description always helps. I'll make a guess. What would happen if you select a framing member, lets say a 2x4 from a wall, open it and change it into a 4x2. Does that make sense?
