  1. The not very helpful answer is to learn to use the roof tools. Not difficult, but will take study and practice. I don't see any dormers, so maybe start by rethinking your approach to the roof. Look at it like it's a first floor that just happens to be sitting on top of another structure. And your file did not correctly attach. Close Pro, then attach it just like you did the image.
  2. I don't know how I could have been clearer. I never said you should upgrade or indicated you could not do what you wanted with Suite, although because I don't have the plans, I could not be sure.
  3. An arch top doorway has a casing (trim) that you may assign a molding to. There are no arched moldings to find.
  4. What didn't work? What did you do? I never said to use soffits alone, just suggested you could use soffits along with walls and doors.

    ROOF QUESTION

I'm not clear on what you are wanting, but with Pro, you have manual roof planes, so learn and use them to create the roof. If you can post a drawing showing your desired roof, someone might be able to help with doing it automatically.
  6. Sloped Soffits, or a Custom Backsplash. Forum search will find more details.

    Pole Barn Loft

Yes (maybe). There are multiple ways to set it up -- a 2nd floor over the entire structure, or one only for the loft. And you might also try using a Shelf Ceiling over the room and no 2nd floor. This will let you set the ceiling height for just that space independent of the larger room.
  8. Chief has a tool that derives the pattern from the texture.
  9. Try this one. You will need to make some adjustments but I believe Pro can do it. Untitled 12.calibz

    ROOF QUESTION

You have told the program there is no roof over the 1st floor, so it's not filling in the walls.
  11. See if you can use this. I did it in X12, so it may not work in Pro 2020. Untitled 11.calibz
  12. You need to create a new material. Plenty of documentation on how to do that.

    ROOF QUESTION

It's helpful to use Vector View when taking a screen capture as it shows details much better than standard view. Walls normally fill in automatically, and it's not obvious from your images what the problem is. If you will attach the plan file -- close Pro first, I'll take a look.
  14. Open Help, search for stairwell.
  15. A couple of pictures of the house will help someone help you.
  16. Export your material and post it here. Right click on it, choose Export Library.
  17. I don't think you can. That's called a lintel and the version you are using does not have a setting for it. You are using one of the predefined templates and much of what's in them cannot be changed.
  18. That's called a volute. You will need to do do it manually along with the balusters. Here is a symbol you can try. volute.calibz
  19. Your terrain is fine where it is. It gets created on the floor you are on when you create it.
  20. Lots of info on the Home Designer website available via a search. https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/support/article/KB-00048/downloading-library-catalogs.html
  21. Probably related to how the walls are defined. If you just want to clean up the 3D visual, I'd patch it with a soffit, or even a Custom Backsplash set to Cut Finish Layers.
