  1. Instead of painting a tile material on the drywall, use the Custom Backsplash tool. Change the default tile to your chosen tile and it will show in the materials list under the Cabinet category.
  2. Attach the plan file and I'll have a look. Close Pro first.
  3. Yes, I used Chief, not sure why they could not be selected in Architectural.
  4. 260 W 14TH 001 - Refresh Design to Current (eric).zip
  5. Attach the plan file and I'll have a look. Exit the program first.
  6. This is for Windows, Mac probably has something similar. I copied this from my response on a thread on ChiefTalk where the user wanted to change the location of the Templates folder. ----------------- You need to create a link (Junction) that tells Windows that one folder is really located, and possibly named differently, somewhere else. I created the directory D:\T-Test and copied the contents of the Templates folder to it. I renamed the Templates folder creating a backup. I then used the mklink command to create a link (junction) from Templates to D:\T-Test Now Chief accesses the Templates folder that's really a junction that points to D:\T-Test, and sees all the files as expected. ---- To use the MKLink tool, you have to open a command prompt in administrator mode. Here's the easiest way to do so: Click the Start button. Type CMD in the Start Search box. Press and hold down [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[Enter]. A UAC dialog box will appear, and you'll have to respond accordingly. Change the directory to Templates In my case I used the command cd "D:\Users\e\Documents\Chief Architect Premier X11 Data" I then used the mklink command mklink /j Templates D:\T-Test ------ The new directory can be anywhere and named anything. You can delete the Templates link (junction) you created, rename the backup templates folder to Templates and you are back to the OOB setup.

  10. Home Designer lacks the options to do what you want. You might experiment with settings in the window dialog.
  11. You can add single windows to the library.
  12. Start with a search of the Home Designer site for piers.
  13. You will need to suppress the label and create your own replacement.
  14. The glass block is a Material. Use the Adjust Material Definition tool to move the Texture.
  15. No idea what "zone" you are referring to, or what walls, or where on the walls you want to change the color. Have you looked at Wall Coverings, or considered a Custom Backsplash -- make it a single layer of drywall and set it to Cut Finish Layers.
  16. The walls are not the problem. The roof gets built first, then attic walls are created to fill gaps and will build up to the roof. Close the software and attach your plan file. Someone might take a look. If this is an existing house, a picture or two showing the roof would be helpful.
  17. Is your driver up to date, and is the video chipset supported? This isn't something you can turn off.
  18. Delete the doorway. Break the wall where you want the railing and change it to railing follow stairs. Use Transform/Replicate to move that railing out into the room away from the stair. Mark it No Room Definition. Draw in a regular wall to fill the gap, and replace the doorway. Use transform/Replicate to move the railing back into the opening.

  20. I believe the default layout is C. Have you created and saved a new D sized layout?
  21. What did you want? Done in Architectural because I had it open. 1/2" thick soffit with a lattice material rotated 45 degrees.
