  1. What's visible in each view is controlled by Layer Display. In a Full, or Perspective Overview camera, for example, you will need to set the layer the trusses are on to display.

I was referring to using the command prompt, which seems to work, at least on my system.

    dfx file type??

I don't think so. The problem with the architect using the file is probably the way Suite exports it. I'd suggest creating a PDF and letting them us that to recreate your plan. If you want to fix the when I look at the file type in the Windows 10 directory it has "pCon.planner Drawing Interchange File". problem, you can follow these instructions. https://www.raymond.cc/blog/how-unassociate-windows-vista-7-file-type/2/
  4. Attach a one room plan that demonstrates the problem.
  5. Another way to do the layout letting the program do the math.
  6. Read about Roof Cuts Wall At Bottom.
  7. Yes it does -- you watched me do it in the same software.
  8. You can fix that with the Adjust Material Definition tool. Just rotate the pattern 90 degrees.
  9. I add Standing Seam roofing to a couple of roof planes. Is this more like what you are looking for?
  10. 12 feet of snow? Could you explain what the need is? That is, why you need something showing corrugations?
  11. Last time I looked, there was no signature and no picture. When you edit a post, like to add a picture, it does not show up in the forum as changed. Anyway, see if this helps.
  12. Nope, at least not all together. He could probably export the plan, then export each individual 3D object. You would need to recombine after tracing over the plan.
  13. You typically provide dimensioned Elevations. Dimensions need to be applied manually.
  14. What "Interior Design Tutorial" are you referring to? If you search the forum for "tray ceiling" (with the quotes) you will find info to get you started.

    Gable roof lines

I'll be more helpful if you do upgrade. Trying to force the program to do things it doesn't want to do is no longer fun

    Gable roof lines

Only if you are willing to learn the manual roof tools.
  17. You can sometimes use a 2nd stair, sized so that it is buried within the real stair, to provide a non standard rail. Make it narrow, maybe 2", railing on 1 side etc. Stairs are a pain when doing anything that is not the default way.
  18. Not sure where you would use a kneewall. Is the shape you show correct? You can attach the plan file -- close Suite first and zip.
