  1. Not in Home Designer. You could use a Custom Backsplash set to Cut Finish Layers, but you would need to place one for each wall, and the corners won't look correct. Use a Wall Covering to simulate a base with a different material
  2. You can do it a floor at a time, or the entire plan with a single click.
  3. Looks like you have lost Room Definition on the 2nd floor. Check all your walls -- clear the No Room Definition checkbox. Select the Wall tool, hold shift and marquee around the entire 2nd floor to select all the walls. Open and check the setting.
  4. Spray the new material or color on to the siding, or change the material in the wall definition.
  5. You have circled levels. Go to Tools>Layer Display Options You should see a Furniture layer you can turn off.

  7. Suite does not have Pony Walls. The videos almost always use Pro so they can show its features. Suite is quite limited in its features when compared to Pro. Generally, searching Help for keywords, in this case pony, won't find anything, so you can assume it's a tool or feature you do not have.
  8. The default is to see all wall layers. Have you changed something? Maybe post an image showing the problem.
  9. I looked and did not see a way to control it. I've never even been able to get a birds mouth at the top. You could try increasing the sub fascia. That's what controls the soffit.
  10. Suggest reviewing the help resources linked above. Answers to many questions can be found via a search.
  11. Probably, but you might contact Chief to make sure. You could also download the Architectural trial and try it for yourself.
  12. That's because there is no way to adjust this.
  13. Have you built wall and roof framing, and set them to display? That's the default -- you will need to change it to whatever you want.
  14. Read about Roof Cuts Wall at Bottom, and Lower Wall Type When Split by Butting Roof. Probably best to have a view from inside showing what the missing wall is supposed to look like.
  15. Think about what needs to change to do this -- what you need to remove. Walls are easy.
  16. Is this an existing structure? Is the new room just a part of a garage, or will it be built differently? If the wall is dividing a garage, then name both spaces garage.
  17. Did you change the room type of the newly created room?
  18. Read about Patterns and Textures. You must find or create an image that represents your desired look. If you want a running bond tile texture, that's what you need to use when creating a new material.
  19. Experiment with the Custom Backsplash tool. Take an elevation, draw the background (you don't need to do individual panels) with Cut Finish Layers set, then draw the styles and rails with Cut Finish Layers unchecked.
  20. Read about Trim Framing to Soffit. If that does not work, attach the plan file.
  21. Don't understand what you want. Could you draw over your image showing correct wall and rafters?
  22. Probably because it's a .png with transparency. Make a .jpg and try it.
