  1. Never mind, I figured it out! Although there is an inconsistency. Both lights showed offset from the ceiling at 0". Yet the first light displays under the cabinet while the second light was on the ceiling inside the cabinet. I changed the offset of the second light to place it under the cabinet. Thanks, John
  2. In my kitchen plan I placed an under cabinet light under one set of cabinets and it shows correctly in 3D view. But when I placed a second light under a different set of cabinets it does not display in 3D view. In plan view I've tried both selecting a new light and copying the existing light, to no avail. Both cabinets are the same height dimensions. I was able to place a light when I was in 3D view, but then after I resized it in plan view there is no change in the 3D view? I've been working this plan for a couple of hours now. Maybe time for a reboot? Thanks, John Home Designer Pro 2019 Windows 10
  3. Auto build framing was off and I remember now that it turned off when I manually resized a header while in elevation view. I also found a CA video on framing and it showed how I could override the default settings for the header. All is good now, your question helped me think through the process a little more. Thanks, John
  4. I have moved a window in a room and want to use the cross section/elevation display to get a before and after look at the framing. The before shot is fine, it shows the framing of the window in it's original location. Then I moved the window (plus reduced the width from 8' to 6'), but when I view the cross section again this change is not displayed. I have deleted the existing cross section and made new ones but alas, the changes are not displaying. Any ideas? Thanks, John HD Pro 2019 Build 20.3.0.54x64
  5. I made a copy of the White Subway tile and modified the tile dimensions. The default was 4" x 8" and I made mine 3" x 12". The changes appear in the object's pattern and as applied to an object preview windows. When I apply it as a wall covering it shows as 3" x 12" in the preview window but the 3D camera view still displays the 4" x 8" dimensions. The elevation view though displays as 3" x 12". Could there be a setting I may have missed that would make the 3D camera view work? Thanks in advance, John Home Designer Pro 2019
  6. Okay just deleted again, then searched for it and it didn't show up. Hopefully this fixed it.
  7. Thanks Eric, and I have deleted the other posting.
  8. I am using Home Designer Pro 2019 and I am following a knowledge base tutorial titled "Creating a Custom Door Symbol", in an attempt to create a custom garage door. The steps are performed in elevation view but when it says to Convert Polyline (right-click to the menu) that option does not exist. I can however create and convert a polyline in the normal plan view, which I have done for some concrete porch work. Is this feature unavailable in Home Designer Pro? The root of my problem is I am trying to add modern style garage doors with the lites placed vertically. I have downloaded the Clopay library and it includes the door design I am after, however it offers only one option and that is with the lites on the right. I want to see how it looks with lights on the left.
