    Rabbit Ear Roof

Buy Pro. Or post your plan file so someone can work with it. Make sure your pitches and room heights are correct.
  2. Those were built in another version of the software -- like Chief Premier, so you may be able to change colors etc, you won't be able to duplicate them (build new ones) in Pro 2017. I believe this feature was added to Pro 2018.
  3. Is there an applied panel on the right side of the cabinet? Is that the Flush Panel? Click that 3rd icon from the right -- the black one with all the arrows and rotate the cabinet around so the right side is showing. Where did these cabinets come from? Were they in a template plan?
  4. Could you post screen captures showing what's going on? Do you want an applied panel, or one that is part of the cabinet? Placed a door in plan. Moved and resized it against cabinet side.
  5. I believe Pro 2018 has this feature built in. For earlier versions, you need to do it manually. Create a cabinet of the correct width, but 0" depth. Delete or resize parts you don't want, so all you are left with is a door. Once it looks correct -- like just a panel, save it to the library for reuse. Point to Point move is an easy way to move it into place. There are also individual cabinet doors in the library that you might be able to use.
  6. Suite has many frustrating limitations, but it's the place to start. You can always upgrade without starting over if you feel the need.
  7. I'd recommend starting fresh. Drawing walls is quick, and it helps you learn how the software works.
  8. Suite will probably work, except for the scissor truss ceilings. It does vaulted ceilings, but they follow the roof slope. It might be possible to build 2 models, one for exterior and one for interior, using different roof slopes as needed for each. Architectural has tools that will let you obtain the look of the trussed ceilings. You would create a wedge shaped object to fill in the ceiling creating the look you want. Pro is the only version designed to do what you need. It does trusses and has a ceiling plane tool used for placing ceiling planes wherever you need. There is a new option to rent Pro, and you can upgrade to the next title by paying the difference in price.
  9. That's a typical failing of the program. It does not know to fill in the wall there, and in Suite, I believe you will need to use one of the wedge shapes from the library sized and positioned to fill the hole.
  10. I'm not sales, but SSA is the Software Support offered for a fee to Chief Architect users. SSA Only items are not available to Home Designer users.
  11. Thanks for the update. What's special about this mouse?
  12. Did you notice this in my reply above? Do you understand what I'm suggesting? This is the simplest way of getting the drawing out from under your plan, while keeping it easily available.
  13. You might contact support -- they should know.
  14. There are people using them with Chief. Try a search on ChiefTalk.
  15. You might try downloading the 2018 Suite trial and see if the roof problem is fixed. Also, try redrawing the house -- just the exterior walls and see what happens. Maybe support will have an answer.
  16. Thanks. Go to the 2nd floor. Give all the rooms a type other than Unspecified. Make the bedrooms Bedroom, bathrooms Bathroom etc. Don't know why, but the roof builds after doing this. You also have a misplaced wall. It's visible after the roof is fixed.
  17. Try turning off all layers except the ones the odd objects are on. Use Edit Area to select and delete. I've see this with Chief Premier as well where objects seem to become orphaned.
  18. I believe in Suite, if possible, set the side walls to invisible, then use the inverted wedge shape from the library to fill in the gap.
  19. Have you checked the help system, the users guide/reference manual or knowledge base?
  20. I used a tool Suite does not have. Hopefully someone else will respond with an idea.
  21. Nothing wrong with your plan -- I was bored and decided to see how it might look a bit different.
  22. Hyperthreading is something that happens in the hardware. Home Designer using threading, so, by default, will take advantage of hyperthreading. A SSD will make a difference too. Lots of recent info on ChiefTalk -- search for xeon.
