  1. Thanks for the update. What's special about this mouse?
  2. Did you notice this in my reply above? Do you understand what I'm suggesting? This is the simplest way of getting the drawing out from under your plan, while keeping it easily available.
  3. You might contact support -- they should know.
  4. There are people using them with Chief. Try a search on ChiefTalk.
  5. You might try downloading the 2018 Suite trial and see if the roof problem is fixed. Also, try redrawing the house -- just the exterior walls and see what happens. Maybe support will have an answer.
  6. Thanks. Go to the 2nd floor. Give all the rooms a type other than Unspecified. Make the bedrooms Bedroom, bathrooms Bathroom etc. Don't know why, but the roof builds after doing this. You also have a misplaced wall. It's visible after the roof is fixed.
  7. Try turning off all layers except the ones the odd objects are on. Use Edit Area to select and delete. I've see this with Chief Premier as well where objects seem to become orphaned.
  8. I believe in Suite, if possible, set the side walls to invisible, then use the inverted wedge shape from the library to fill in the gap.
  9. Have you checked the help system, the users guide/reference manual or knowledge base?
  10. I used a tool Suite does not have. Hopefully someone else will respond with an idea.
  11. Nothing wrong with your plan -- I was bored and decided to see how it might look a bit different.
  12. Hyperthreading is something that happens in the hardware. Home Designer using threading, so, by default, will take advantage of hyperthreading. A SSD will make a difference too. Lots of recent info on ChiefTalk -- search for xeon.
  13. It's on the Framing, Wall layer. Turn off all layers except that one. Use Edit Area Visible to marquee around it, then delete.
  14. Grab the offending roof plane edge and pull it over.
  15. You never said anything about an angle. Did you try the custom backsplash? It's the only thing you can shape with an angle. You will need to draw a wall to place the backsplash against, but then the wall may be deleted. There are also shapes in the library that may be combined with other things to make a composite shape.
  16. You need to show or tell us what isn't working. There is no on/off for break line.
  17. Like a stringer or skirt board?
  18. Align how? One method I use for aligning things between floors is to draw CAD lines on one floor, copy the CAD lines, move to another floor, Paste Hold Position. You now have a reference to pull dimensions from, do Point to Point moves to etc. You can also copy the stairs on one floor, Paste Hold Position on another floor.
  19. You will need to post an image. I see no red lines. Do you happen to have reference display on? (F9)
  20. Break the wall where you want the gable. Mark it Full Gable, the other part, uncheck Full Gable.
