-
I did as I suggested above.

Make multiple cabinets and then combine them. Use soffits, partitions, custom countertops. You just need to think creatively.
-
Create a blank floor, turn on Reference Display and draw walls where needed. You should always get the structure (floors and walls) correct prior to working on the roof.
-
Suggest auto building the roof, then modify what is generated. When a gable wall is missing, it may be set to invisible like the first one, or just not generated like the 2nd. You see I just dragged the wall over to cover the gap. Read up on Roof Cuts Wall At Bottom, and Lower Wall Type When Split By Butting roof. These 2 setting are often helpful with a roof like this.
-
See this post. Try using the technique shown.
-
You should also be able to reverse the wall using the Reverse Layers command if available. The program sees this as a different wall type and will not automatically join.
-
Post your plan file and someone will have a look.
-
Use the Wall Break tool. Change the section of railing to be how you want. You can also insert a doorway into a railing.
-
Place 2 doors like this. Select one, and use the center tool to move it over.
-
You will need Architectural, I believe, to define your own wall types. Pro will probably work best for your needs.
-
What is a "hidden line"? What do you want that your work around is not giving you?
-
Use 3 (or however many you need) landings.
-
What you see is just how the program works. You will need to draw in your own ceiling plane that will cover the gap caused by the intersecting gable.

Thanks for the pictures Jake. Where in Texas is this? Looks like a nice location with the pond.

I removed all joist direction and bearing lines, then drew new joist direction lines. How does this look?
-
Zip the file, or copy and delete the fluff, then attach the smaller file.

Depending on what type of foundation you have, draw a foundation wall under it, or use the Slab tool to make a thick slab, or drag the existing foundation walls out to enclose the area below the porch.
-
Turn off (uncheck) Auto Rebuild Roofs.
-
Switch to the second floor if not already there. Click the terrain perimeter (the cad line that defines the terrain boundary) and delete it. Go to the 1st floor and create a new terrain. Select it as above and open it, or just double click it to open and adjust.

What don't you understand?

First thing I did after buying Pro was to buy a mouse with several extra buttons. Programmed one to send the space character.
-
Just a suggestion. I set the left side and porch front wall back a bit. sloped porch roof (eric).zip

Try using 2 stairs, side by side. Make the left one full height, railing on left only. Make the right one narrow -- maybe 5", with 4 risers and a single railing. Once the left stair is correct, Copy/Paste In Place. Edit it to change its specs and then move it to the right.
