  1. Thank you guys so much! That was just the help I needed and it worked out great for me. Thanks again!
  2. Hi guys! I've had great success in asking questions here before. I've had good luck in creating spaces as well. My self and my interior designer have been collaborating in making new plans. The newest problem is we get an error message saying "The extents of the view being generated are unusually large. This may be cause by an object that is very far away from the origin." I'm assuming this resulted from something that was put in the plan but I can't find it. I attached a screenshot of the error message and a copy of the plan below. What could cause this? Steinkamp Basement.plan
  3. Duh. I should've known that one. Very last question for now. How do I get the front stoop to look solid like Jo Ann has it? Mine just has the top surface showing that looks like it's floating as opposed to a poured concrete stoop?
  4. I figured it out thank you! the last problem I'm having is after I get the roof how I want it and I go to delete the invisible wall, the roof returns to the way it was before? How do I get it to stay?
  5. Delete it, and rebuild on floor 1. Open the terrain dbx, uncheck "automatic" and set the height to 26". I don't know how to delete and rebuild the terrain on floor 1 and I don't know where to find the terrain dbx. I apologize as I'm sure it's super easy and I'm just not seeing it right away as I'm still getting familiar with the features of this program.
  6. Jo Ann, Thanks for replying, however I don't understand your first step with the terrain. I can manage the second step with dividing the room and the moving the ceiling etc. but I'm still fairly new to this and don't quite get what you're saying in the first section there. Could you walk me through that a little more simply? PS. I'm going with the single gable over the windows on the second floor Thank you!
  7. I'm trying to build a shed roof that goes all the way across the front of the house but they are at two different "heights" right now and I'm having trouble figuring out how to fix this. I had great luck on here solving my roof problems last time so I'd appreciate any help you guys have! I attached a picture of what it looks like currently and a picture of what I want it to look like. Thanks I'm using Home Designer Architectural 2019 two story house.plan
  8. Yes! Thank you both! I finally have it figured out now. I'm definitely new at this and am learning more and more everyday. Thank you so much!
  9. Where do I break the wall and change to hip? the two sides of the porch are already hips? There's the two roof planes that extend out from the porch and make these extra ridges instead of the one big gable roof with a gable over the front window and two garage doors. I'd like to be able to figure this out so I can make more complex roofs down the line.
  10. I'm new to home designing and to this software and I'm starting to get a hang on some things but I'm having a really hard time getting this roof to work. It's a pretty simple roof but it keeps giving me odd lines because of the porch I think. The two roof planes on the parallel walls on the porch are the source of my problem I believe but don't know how to fix it. I don't need the small gable at the back of the house as I'm modifying the plan a bit. I attached the roof plan of how I want it to look and the plan I've made in home designer. Can somebody help me out? I'm using home designer suite 2019 Quai Creek Plan.plan
