You need to stick to the Home Designer site -- it's blue themed. And to minimize confusion, you are new to Home Designer, not Chief Architect.
-
This may give you some ideas. 2 wall types, columns are 8" concrete, walls between are pony walls.
-
You cannot combine SketchUp and native objects. There are limited layer options -- turn on or off only.
-
You will need Chief Architect Premier. None of the Home Designer products do this. And I'm not sure what CAD format is.

I downloaded the Suite trial and took a look. Many times when something unexpected happens -- like no slab under the garage, I'll draw in a new plan, a simple structure duplicating the problem plan. I tried that, and the garage slab generated automatically. I don't know why there is a problem with your plan. You might send this to support -- maybe they have an idea. You might try using Edit Area to copy the 1st and 2nd floors into a new plan. Build a blank 2nd floor, and then copy and Paste/Hold Position.

Saving the file you used for the install to a DVD should create your own backup. You could save any updates there as well.

No built up moldings in Home Designer. Chief has far better molding tools, including the ability to create your own profiles.

What is wrong with the dimensions shown in the wall elevation in your image?
-
What have you tried that's not working?
-
Jo Ann is probably correct, as usual. However if the gable wall is not in the same plane as the wall below, then you will need a Dutch Gable.

Change door to Slab, then

I would experiment with placing a stair to get the railings -- maybe 3 really wide treads, then cover with a wedge shape from the library, or use a Custom Backsplash if available in Architectural -- draw in elevation, shape like a wedge and make as thick as needed. You can set the stair so it's partly below the terrain.

A picture will help others understand.

Thinking about electrical, but other categories work similarly. Electrical fixtures are on the Electrical layer, so to display your electrical plan, you turn on the display of the Electrical layer and any other required layers, like walls, and turn off the display of unwanted items. You will need to do the same for each category.

It depends on how the frame is structured. Are you talking about traditional mortise and tenon -- or something similar? You can use railing walls -- post to beam. Or use the framing tools to locate the posts and beams manually. How will you enclose the structure?
-
Seems that info is fixed in Architectural. Pro allows entry of these parameters. Do you need railings?
-
Use 2 stair sections, one with a railing and wall under, one narrower for the upper part. The Gable Sub Fascia controls this. Make it smaller.

Draw Room Divider walls to surround the shower. This creates a room between them and the shower walls. Remove moldings from this room. Now move the Room Divider walls up to the shower walls -- making them 1/128" apart.
