After creating the cabinet and Custom Countertop, Block them so they move as one object.
-
You have Floor Finish as -12. Set it to default, then read up on Floor Finish

Chief Premier X10 They should look the same as whatever version is used, uses the default camera settings found within your file. This might be a topic for a new thread. It's often easier in a thread like this if you quote parts of a thread you are referring to. Click Quote to quote the entire post, or highlight a specific area and a Quote This thing will appear.

Are you able to change the size of the cabinets?
-
Opened in Pro 2016 so I could see the problem. See if this fixes yours. Watch full screen. http://youtu.be/ZyBCDWew4t4?hd=1

I'd consider this. Landing at top and bottom. No problems with ceiling heights over the stair.
-
This did not fix anything, just changed the roof.
-
I'm not seeing the same as you. You will need an Open Below room on the 2nd floor -- basically an extension of the stairwell with a short ceiling. This will change the roof too.
-
I deleted a couple of walls on the 2nd floor in that area. I believe you will need raised ceiling over the landing to meet code, but not sure what your specifics are. Maybe start with just the landing without the 2 steps at the bottom.
-
I don't understand the issue. Could you post an image -- hopefully annotated? Were you referring to the small raised roof in this area? Extensions and Alternations? Maybe Alterations?
-
That's the way the program works. Read up on these 2 views in the documentation

Experiment with making the stoop a defined room -- maybe a Utility room, and redefine the floor structure. You should automatically get the basement space. Posting your plan file will generally help others help you. Make sure Pro is closed before attaching the plan.
-
You may make the cabinets any size. Are you using the metric template?
-
When/if you need help with the roof, please start a new thread. This helps others learn from the responses since the info isn't hidden in an unrelated discussion.

The program wraps the outermost layer, which in your case is 0" thick, so nothing shows. If you want that extra layer, make it 1/128" thick. The program will show it as 0", but internally, it has a thickness. Experiment a bit and you will see how it works.

@CheifTexan If you are using one of the Home Designer titles, you found the correct forum, otherwise, do you know about ChiefTalk? https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/
-
I don't have Essentials, so this image is from Chief Architect. If you do not see similar options, then Essentials may not have this ability. Have you searched your built in Help system?
-
Someone might look at your plan if you post the file. Search the forum for Shower. The problem with the shower wall butting into the wall was recently discussed.

Break the wall and change to Hip.

My take on doing the Gullwing manually. I'll suggest Jo Ann shows the baseline in the wrong spot on the lower roof plane. Let the program auto build and this configuration and see where the baselines are.
-
It's not clear if this is a new house or a remodel, but if new, there may be an alternate roof plan.
-
This setting only works with auto roofs.

Post your plan file and someone will have a look. The software will normally fill that in. You can also make the wall solid and then place a Doorway without casing. You can drag the sides (or set the dimensions) to the walls on either side and it will be a seamless opening.
