display wall dimensions on an Orthographic Framing view

What does your carpenter need to know to build that wall? The Home Designer products lack the ability to easily dimension framing. -
You can use Edit Area to select just a portion of the plan, copy, paste into a new plan and upload it. Copy the plan and remove all the cars, furniture etc. Zipping the plan will sometimes get it small enough.

Pictures? Plan? Pick one from the library, click in the plan.
-
It depends. You can make a cabinet that is 3/4" deep and place it on the end. You can place a cabinet door by itself in the plan, then position it manually against the island.
-
The entire plan is a bit of a mess. It's been what I call "brute forced". Is this foundation correct?
-
@Jo_Ann I believe Architectural could do this. Changed the problem wall to a Pony Wall, lower part Room Divider. Dragged the foundation wall under the door over to align with the door edge. Need to fill in the wall with something.

Showing Roof Baseline Polyline and manual roof. Watch on YouTube: http://youtu.be/M4xWkop_9QU?hd=1

I did this with a Roof Baseline Polyline, but would suggest you learn a bit about manual roofs and use the tools available in Pro.
-
Delete the Gable/Roof Line and instead, break the wall where you want the gable. Set the wall to Full Gable.

I have a feeling that a pony wall with a railing on top was a new feature in 2019. I can't keep up with all the changes ... You will need to add one more floor and an Open Below room for the railing. Make sense?

Did you notice the difference between how things look in my video and how they look on your system? I don't know why -- might be a problem with Pro 2018. Are you current with updates?

What's not working? I've done it in Pro and Chief Premier.

Are you trying to change them like these?

I'm sure you are manually drawing interior walls, moving them, maybe deleting them. Manually placing cabinets, windows, doors etc. Exterior walls are no different. They are just objects to the program.
-
Delete the walls that you don't want. Fill in any missing ones manually.

@DavidJPotter David -- from the OP

Try this. Draw a one room structure. Set opposite walls to full gable and build the roof then uncheck Auto Rebuild. Open the room and raise the ceiling.
-
Suggest sending the file to Chief. Something is clearly messed up.
-
Copy the file, delete the fluff -- cars, furniture etc. Zip the file.
-
Post the plan.

Those layers are locked. Unlock them via Layer Display Options and you should be able to select and delete.
