I am having issues understanding what you are wanting to do Adding images, drawings etc is helpful. As is attaching the plan file. What problems are you having?
-
A picture of the platform and stairs would help. I'd use a landing as your stairs will attach to it. Once correct, cover the landing with a soffit changing the material to concrete.
-
I assume then you understand how these settings work and that they are set correctly for what you want to do?
-
You can often solve problems like this via the built in Help system. Open it and search for "material eyedropper" (the name of the tool you are using). You can change the color via the Materials tab when you open a cabinet too.

Roofs build over rooms. Room height (and surround wall height) is set by adjusting the ceiling height of that room. Try lowering the ceiling in the master with auto rebuild roofs on and see what happens. If that is not working, post back and I'll have a look at the plan.

I'd start by running the installation again. There will probably be a Repair option which I would choose. If that does not fix things, contact Home Designer support directly.

My remark about the shallow pool -- You are creating a shallow pool on top of the house. Where will the water go? You will also have an access from below at the bottom of the pool. Attach the plan file -- close Pro first.

You could not open them. This auto built so you can do it.

Exactly Manual roofs using Chief Premier. Not sure how you could get Architectural to do it.

This is what I was suggesting. Doesn't this show the layer? I imported the above image into Pro 2020.
-
How about this?
-
What I might do.
-
Select the image, check the status bar. You will see the layer for the selected object.
-
What would you like it to look like? And what about the missing roof?

What is properly?

What dimensions do you want to change? Post a screen capture with them circled.

You will need to break some walls. Makes no difference. -------- Here is what happens. Note the incomplete roof overhangs. Walls could be easily drawn in.
