  1. The software is hard pre-programmed to recreate attic walls automatically, your ONLY choices are to either make the auto attic walls is to make invisible or manually draw or redraw them. DJP
  2. You toggle up to the <A> or attic level, turn on the "Reference Display" view so you can clearly see where to manually draw your attic gable walls that are missing, easy-peasy and Merry Christmas! DJP
  3. Every material is defined in two distinct ways: one is the pattern of the material for use in vector view camera types and Two for standard, PBR and Ray Trace views, pixel based images are used in those camera types. So when you resize or shape a material you must alter the pattern AND reshape the image file for that material as well. Some Images do not reshape well, they become deformed. In such cases one would then make a new image file that visually represents the material, import that custom image as a new, custom material for then use in your plan file. DJP
  4. You will locate that wall on the second floor in plan view. Select-open it and make it a "Pony Wall" with exterior siding on top and interior wall below. Then you sort out the wall polylines for each so only the interior material shows inside and only the exterior material shows to the outside. DJP

  13. You should also be able to do that using Sketch Up in such a way that the faces are separate in the resulting symbol so when imported into HD Pro you have two faces to assign materials to. I am not saying that learning Sketch Up to that degree and then importing the resulting symbol into HD Pro would be "easy", but can be done by someone determined to have what they want. DJP

    Fix roof

No, it was factual, useful advice, where you wish to set pitches other than the default pitch set in the "Build Roof Dialog" you set those diverging pitches by way of the "Wall specification dialog - roof tab -roof pitch input box" to guide the auto-roof generator to a desired result. If you are not obtaining a desired result then one must find where they have erred in manually setting up for the auto-roof generator (Build Roof Dialog - Roof Styles tab" is an excellent source of true data relative to setting up for various differing roof types and geometry). Fix roof

The roof pitches are steeper in the photo than in your posted image. Go to the "Build Roof" dialog and change the pitch (angle) of the roof steeper to better match your photo. DJP

  24. That is where the angle of the roof is protruding into the flat ceiling. To correct that you simply raise the roof plane doing the protruding manually a few inches and then reconnect its mating edges manually to adjoining roof planes affected by the manual moving upward of the roof plane. DJP
