    Run a Plan Check.
  2. Had you done so, you would have an answer instead of a selection of guesses.
  3. You might check your default settings for the Deck room type making sure they are correct. Rooms don't have Components, only objects have them. Is this what you are looking at, but see Concrete instead of the framing? Double click the line and change to the correct material.
  4. Roofs build over rooms, so to control roof heights, move the ceiling in the room below up or down. Half height walls do not influence the roof.
  5. Chief has the ability to do some of this. Add on packages are available from several users that mostly automate much of this. It will depend on exactly what you are trying to achieve.
  6. Things like dimensions will be a problem because you cannot have a Dimensions, Electrical layer for example. What most people end up with is multiple plan files, one for each layout.
  7. Using Pro 2016 -- newest full version I have. Watch on YouTube: http://youtu.be/TkMHy7ypkMI?hd=1
  8. I believe you will need to open each item, like a garden bed, and get the info there. These items don't report to a materials list.

  10. Pro has single page layouts, so typically you create an electrical plan with things displayed as you want, then send that plan to layout. Open a new layout and send foundation, open a new layout and do framing etc. What are you wanting to do that is different than this?
  11. Using Layer Display Options, you can turn on/off the display of things you want/don't want to see. Add your electrical, then turn this layer off when you don't want to see these items.
  12. Why not? You can define the ceiling structure to be what you need, I believe.
  13. Sitting at home with nothing to do ...

  15. Wall with just framing, and Soffits or Slabs for the insulation.

  17. If you really feel you need a 3D representation, it's easy enough to do it manually. This would typically be detailed in a 2D section of a wall.
  18. You can. I have 8 trial versions installed of various titles.
  19. Sorry, Architectural does not have that feature -- another Pro only tool. Try changing that wall to an interior wall type, then use a Custom Backsplash on the exterior above to create a surface to apply siding to.
  20. The room above the garage has a short ceiling height. Guessing you did that to get the roof where you wanted it, with either auto or manual roof planes. The program sees everything above as attic. Once the roof is correct, or if you are using manual roofs, raise the ceiling to where it should be. Like David mentioned, no need to be building framing until the end of the process, but it is good to leave Auto Rebuild Foundation on, so as you move walls the foundation responds. Check your 2nd floor walls too as several don't align with the walls below. I'd also suggest auto building the roof, until it becomes too much effort to get just what you want, then switch to manual.
  21. It does -- it does it automatically. You just cannot specify the insulation. I don't understand this. Start a new plan. Draw 4 Siding-6 walls to form a room. Build framing if it's not already and take a 3D framing overview.
