You have 3 sets of stairs on one side -- the program is confused. I pulled 2 of them out a bit so they would show when colored. You can see extra lines here, and when you drag the edge of one back, it reveals the one below. I don't know how anyone uses Suite -- it's so limited. I see that it lacks snap indicators. With Pro, and maybe Architectural, and all or the Chief Architect products, you get visual feedback. As an example, this shows I'm about to draw a stair off of a deck edge. The little red triangle tells me I am at the center of the wall, and snapped to the main wall layer. I would redraw your steps trying to start on the line.

You are working on a plan. The program saves your plan in a file with a .plan extension. Something like myhouse.plan That's the file you need to attach. It works just like attaching the images and video you did above.

Post your plan file after closing Suite.
  5. Have you looked at the new Physically Based Rendering (PBR) available in Pro 2020?

Suite is very limited in its features, and many videos will show things not available in Suite, especially the Chief Architect videos. This is Suite 2016, so I'm sure it works in 2019. You might also check with Home Designer sales about an upgrade to 2020. I imagine it will be free since you just purchased 2019.

I think you answered your own question. Do you have Grid Snaps on? Try turning them off if on. You can move objects, including a stair manually. Are you also asking how to create a wrap around stair?

    roof over door

The brackets have nothing to do with the roof -- they are added afterwards. With Pro, you can manually draw the roof, or you can use invisible walls to create a room, which can have a roof. That room might be called a Porch, or even a Deck, and have a floor.

How do you get any roof? -- That is what causes a roof to appear?

Your dialogs will look different -- they changed to this style in the 2015 version.

    Odd Wall Issue

Try to get the structure as you want before working on the roof. With auto roofs you can spend lots of time correcting the roof after a change in the structure, only to find your fix breaks after the next structure change. I took a quick look at your plan and noticed some floor to floor wall alignment issues. These will be obvious in vector view. Selecting a wall that is misaligned, you will see an icon in the Edit Toolbar to automatically align with the wall above or below.
  15. How did you do that? The drawing is always 1 to 1, and gets scaled when printed. No to both.

Use invisible walls to form a room in front of the fireplace and check Shelf Ceiling. The light fixture should locate on that ceiling.

    HDPro 2020

Search PBR on the Chief forum. It's been available for some time and plenty of discussion. It's similar to a raytrace, but not the same. https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/
  19. Just think through what you need to do. I have 2 rooms, one with a raised ceiling -- how would you do that? Once that's done, what is needed to form the missing ceiling? Answers depend on the roof -- auto rebuild, or not.
  20. The program does not want to do what you want it to do. It does not understand a deck over a roof. I imagine no one has replied because there is no simple answer. You are getting a warning, not an error and you can check do not show again. Posting your plan file and any other helpful info will give someone a start on helping.
  21. Any plan may be saved as a template. You can add or remove files from this list too.
  22. Winders The stairs need to be surrounded by walls, and you may need to increase the Max Tread Contraction (Style panel).
