    Fixture boundaries

I would not recommend using Control to override movement as it's completely free movement. Better to use one of the precision movement tools. Watch on YouTube: http://youtu.be/yR00vywYtNY?hd=1
  2. I'd contact Home Designer directly. I don't believe there is an automatic backup for this file. If you are missing items you downloaded you may still have the files you imported.
  3. And any images that might explain what you want.
  4. You don't download User Catalogs, only Core, Bonus and Manufacturer. If you can say specifically what is missing, it will help.
  5. You will need to upgrade to Pro to change your floor structure.

    Centering Window

Make sure the attic wall is one and not 2 walls that join where the window would be centered. Also check there is no attic wall behind there.
  7. You will need to use soffits I think for the countertop. Transform/Replicate is not available with Suite.
  8. Made the pitch on the 2 new walls 4 instead of 5.
  9. Try this file. Materials List was turned off for most things. CHD-1024961-A_Revised (eric).zip
  10. You want to clean up the area I've circled? Try breaking the wall at the red line. Set the back part to Hip. You should get a roof that follows the blue line. I'd place the break where the new wall joins the old.
  11. Use the Custom Backsplash tool to draw the reveal lines, or the stucco panels. Read about the tool in help to understand what it can do (cut finish layers of parent object).
  12. The best things to take to an Architect are an open mind, a list of what you want -- number of bedrooms etc, and some ideas about what you want the house to look like. And make sure you are working with an Architect, not a draftsman or designer. Not knowing anything about you or your building site, I can't make any specific recommendations, but I would suggest the guest room be off on its own. It's nice to have a bit of privacy when visiting. For the bedrooms, try for windows on 2 walls, and for the house generally, be aware of the sun, especially the western sun. Your house if facing south would work because the garage and 2nd floor will help shade the rest of the house in the afternoon.
  13. Take a look at this roof and see if it's what you want. I'm not sure Architectural will do this. The problem is where the porch roof and the other roofs come together. Farmhouse plan v3 (with gable end) (eric).zip I assume this is a new build, and if so, would suggest you consider using an Architect. This is a large house and will cost a good bit to build. I'll suggest this design could be improved. Consider, for example, how hotel like the bedroom wing is.
  14. Copy and Paste. Start with the 1st floor. Build a blank 2nd floor, use Edit Area to copy/paste to the new 2nd floor. If there is place where they easily align, like a corner, draw 2 CAD lines on floor 1, copy/paste hold position to floor 2. Use Point-to-Point move to positioned the just copied 2nd floor.
  15. Use the Adjust Material Definition tool. See the Texture panel.

    living area

Are you saying the Living Area label is not showing on your plan? You do need to have at least one room defined as part of the living area. Run a Plan Check. That will usually bring it back.
  17. Use the Open Below room type.
  18. What size hole? You can make a room Open Below to remove the floor structure.
  19. That gives you the flattest possible roof. Do you want something different?
  20. You need to set the pitch in each wall to 0".
  21. We need to know exactly what the roof needs to look like.
  22. Are you saying that after placing the dormer and sizing/centering the window, the window will then change size without you changing anything related -- moving or resizing the dormer, trusses, roof planes etc.
