I forgot to ask -- please post images (screen captures) when appropriate as they show directly in the forum and don't require a download and running a program to view. Yes it can be changed -- changed to what?

I don't use the materials list, but my first thought was to increase the brick size as you have suggested. For brick quantities, I'd want a few extras, maybe quite a few extras for future projects if there is a place to store them. I would create a test structure using the larger brick method and manually figure quantities and compare to the materials list. I'd also ask the person who will be doing the work about how many extras are usually ordered. UK users typically have problems with doors and windows too, so you might want to check those as well. Searching the forum should provide some insight into the issues.

Not sure what you are asking. Changes in height of what and shown how.

Sounds like you are. Your title mentions Gable/Roof Lines -- they can be selected and deleted, and i think you can use Delete Objects (Edit>Delete Objects) to delete roof related things too. Adding an image (screen capture) or two will help others help you.

What is the forum doing that is stopping you? No limit that I know of.

Try this. There is no keyboard shortcut.

What's the problem? There are articles in the Knowledge Base -- search https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/

You can probably use a regular elevation camera. Are you sending the elevation to Layout? You can crop the view there if so. I would model your house differently. Using 2 floors, with the entry on the first floor and its floor raised. No need for any Open Below spaces to fill in a vertical gap.

There is no option to convert a polyline to a room. Walls define rooms -- that includes the Room Divider.

Not suggesting you do so, but I've had interactions where someone was trying to sound knowledgeable -- using terminology they did not fully understand, or wanting to specify the "how" instead of the "what". Or failed to ask questions when they did not grasp what they were being told. Or answered a question with a guess instead of asking for clarification.

You would need Pro to do this automatically. You could do walls and ceiling manually using soffits as framing members. Roof maybe not. Very tedious.

This forum is for the Home Designer products and not best for questions like this. You might try houzz.com or https://www.gardenweb.com/discussions/ for more ideas. If you do post on ChiefTalk, this type of question should go in Chatroom as it's not related to using the software. You have had some good responses on ChiefTalk, but I'll offer some generic advice. Ask, don't assume. Don't try to appear more knowledgeable than you are. Talk about outcomes first, then about the specifics.

Have you checked Help, and the Home Designer website for articles and/or videos?

Selecting a gate from the library and clicking on the fence to place it works for me. No need to first insert a door.

I believe you attached the wrong plan.

Could you attach your plan file?

Go to the attic level and draw in walls. Set them to Knee Wall to make them not go through the roof.

Issues recreating arcitectural detail wall/roofline bumpout

No soffits. What is a "roof transition"? Pictures of the entire house would help, as would images of the problems you are having. With Pro, you have manual roofs if the auto roof builder is not working. -
Issues recreating arcitectural detail wall/roofline bumpout
solver replied to TessHartwell's topic in Q&A
It's not clear to me what the problem is. I see a dormer. Pro lacks curved roofs so you will need to use several roof planes with increasingly steeper pitches to achieve the look. Try a Custom Backsplash for the odd shaped rake/fascia corners. Once it's drawn against a wall you can select it and move out/reposition. Not sure what you are referring to as a bumpout, and guessing your angled wall is the underside of the roof plane. -
All your roof planes are at the wrong height and need to be raised. Creating a basement is a one click operation after setting the defaults. Were you doing something different?

You can change the number of times you can undo. Don't know what you did, but if you attach the plan file -- close Pro first, someone will take a look.
