  1. Did you set the second floor room to Open Below?

    Custom Wall Mirror

Open the camera and turn Reflections on. Searching Help for reflections ...
  3. You can do the same in plan view. Maybe it's the Z axis you want to rotate about.
  4. You (maybe) can select items in elevation and rotate with the rotate handle. This is Pro.
  5. Layers are one of the big limitations of Pro. You are stuck with the layers that come with the program and not able to create new layers, layer sets, or assign objects to specific layers.
  6. Start a new plan. Create an elevation and add dimensions/notes. Save the camera. Close the elevation, save and close the plan. Open it and then the saved camera.
  7. What is your image trying to show? You might pull back and give us a wider view, and say what material is excess.
  8. Did you check the layers while in the Wall Elevation view? This is Premier, but shows using a layer set normally used for plan view in a wall elevation view.
  9. Those 2 existing walls (north & south) are attic walls. Either draw over them, or change their settings. The key thing is those existing gable walls are marked No Room Definition. That setting needs to be cleared. You don't need to add a second story -- you already have one. Draw 4 walls roughly over the garage. Build the roof and you should see a room and new roof.
  10. If you are thick skinned and can handle a critique of your plan, consider posting it on houzz.com here: https://www.gardenweb.com/discussions/build The general suggestion will be to hire an Architect, but you will get some good honest feedback. California generally is one of the worst places for getting plans permitted. I'd seek a local draftsman to create the construction documents and help with the permit process. Architects typically are not interested in reviewing a DIY plan. Builders often offer this service too. Choose a builder who will take your plan, and use their draftsman to complete the drawings and obtain permits.
  11. It's a layer display issue. Open Layer Display Options and search for a layer with a red color and dashed line.
  12. It looks like a layer issue. Here is all layers on. I looked quickly and did not see an obvious problem. I copied (using Edit Area) your plan into a new plan and the cameras work as expected. Suggest sending the file to Chief. I need to get back to a job -- will look again tonight.
  13. Try an install with the Repair option.
  14. Attach the plan file with the section/elevation cameras saved and I'll take a look. Close Pro first.
  15. They always do. Attach an elevation or cross section that does not. And please post a screen capture image, no need to make a PDF of an image. Turn on the display of those layers.
  16. Since Pro only has single page layouts, you will need a 3rd party PDF tool to merge multiple files into one. I don't have a recommendation, but a web search should find both free and paid products.
  17. You should automatically have a Living Area label that shows a value -- do you see it? It can be turned on or off in Plan Defaults. Running a Plan Check will often bring it back. As far as the icon, you need to drag it to a toolbar (read up on customizing toolbars). And Auto Interior Dimensions has only ever done this one thing.
  18. They just removed the icon. You can add it back. Turn on Room Labels, and the Standard Area or Interior Area layer.
  19. Look in the Status Bar. No.

Make sure you report to Chief.

    Tray Ceiling

What are you calling a tray ceiling? You can use ceiling planes, soffits, slabs, custom countertops to model most anything.
  22. Use the Adjust Material Definition tool. You can also create a new material that has its direction changed. Search the Home Designer website for articles / videos, or Help for specifics.
  23. It's probably being cut off by the roof plane that extends into the gable. If the wall needs to sit on top of that roof, try setting it to Roof Cuts Wall At Bottom.
