  1. It would be helpful to have a detail showing what you want. How the foundation should look in plan and a section showing a wall and foundation. A Mono Slab does not have a footing, just a thickened edge.
  2. This is almost always a problem with one or more walls marked No Room Definition. Notice there is no room definition in the space to the right of the hi-lighted wall. The program has a rather annoying habit of auto generating walls and marking them No Room Def. See the selected wall in the image. You also have some wall alignment issues -- the top one is obvious, the lower one the walls do not align vertically.
  3. Close Pro, attach the plan file and I'll have a look.
  4. Those walls are what I was referring to. You will need to make them invisible, then patch in as required. There are Shapes in the library. Find the Inverted Wedge and shape/paint it to take the place of the walls. It looks like you are using the David method where you created a blank 2nd floor. You need to create a room over the entire space so you see a floor on the 2nd floor.
  5. Start a new plan. Set your defaults for ceiling heights, roof pitch etc under defaults. Draw the first floor. Build your foundation. When you build the 2nd floor, set the ceiling height to 48". Draw in walls to form the space under the dormer. Open this room and change its ceiling height to 96". Use the wall break tool to place breaks where the dormer side walls intersect the outside wall. Set this and the outside walls to Full Gable. Turn off auto rebuild roofs and raise the ceiling height in the remainder of the 2nd floor. You should be close. Depending on the interior and how accurate it needs to be, you may have some additional things to do. Now do it again using your dimensions.
  6. With Pro, you can do most anything, but not everything will be automatic.
  7. You should see the dormer in plan, or get an error message if the program could not create it. Post some images -- use screen capture software instead of your phone please -- Windows Snipping Tool or whatever a Mac has. Attach the plan file if it's not obvious what's going on.
  8. Setting a wall as a knee wall does not change how the roof builds. No need to rebuild the roof. Remember how ceiling heights control where your roof builds, so set it, build the roof, and when the roof looks correct, turn off auto rebuild, draw in your knee walls and add the dormers.

    Scrolling plans

Nothing where? Show us a screen capture of what you see.
  10. What do you need to dimension?

    You should have scroll bars.

    2d?

A picture showing what you are asking about will help others help you.
  13. All I did was uncheck use soffit surface for ceiling.
  14. Can you explain better -- do you still see it and clicking does not do anything? Updating your video card driver often corrects this type of problem.
  15. Undo the existing gable. Draw a room where you want the gable using a Room Divider. Set the new pitch on the 2 outside walls. Move the front wall back very close to the front wall of the existing structure. You may want to make that small room Open Below or change other settings to clean things up. As a builder, I'd prefer a small flat spot at the corner instead of a point.
  16. That's 2 stairs. You won't be able to do the handrails as shown, but I believe everything else is doable. Draw a single stair to get the dimensions/sizing correct, copy in place (now have 2 stairs in same place), lock the top and change the number of steps to make the upper part. Select the lower stair, lock the bottom and set the number of steps and change the width. This should get you close.
  17. Place the sink away from the cabinet to start. Now move it (drag, center tool etc) into place on the countertop. The sink is now a fixture you can select. Open it and change its height -- raise it 3/4".

And remember, you need to rebuild the foundation for changes to show.

    Bonus Room

If the space is not a room, there is nothing to include in the overall size, and nothing to select. You probably have one or more walls marked as No Room Definition. Once you uncheck that, you should have a defined room. You do not have direct control of the ledge, but by changing the brick wall definition you can vary it indirectly.
  21. That's the way the program works -- it connects orphan rooms with a Room Divider. You may, I believe, turn off the display of all Room Divider walls.
