This is a scissor truss. the roof pitch and the ceiling pitch are different. When using windows that are angled on top -- which pitch do you match? If you match the ceiling, they look good from the inside, but not from the exterior.

Might want to check with the builder about roof construction. If using trusses, like maybe a scissor truss, that may impact window placement. Probably should be looking from the inside out too.

You won't be doing them with Pro, so you will need another program to model these features and then import them. SketchUp is popular with many and creates symbols that are usable in Pro. Another example done with Premier. Note the wall curving into the casing and the curved base. Maybe you need a corbel or bracket -- simple in Premier, not possible in Pro.

You really need Premier to model these things, and it still will not be easy. Here is a simple example that was fairly easy, but it uses tools not available in Home Designer.

That's because there is no pitch associated with a gable wall. Pitch is set in the walls under the low point of a roof plane (where the roof plane baseline is).

Do you have Auto Rebuild Framing on for everything?

I don't see that (Pro 2020 Trial).

Think of a right triangle. The hypotenuse is the roof, the short leg is probably the rise, in your case 6', and the long leg only you know. Plug in the numbers, do some trig to find angle A. Convert to pitch. Or using manual roofs, draw the roof, open it and adjust the settings -- no need to compute pitch. What are you calling wall height? This dialog should give you that info. There are a variety of dimension tools that may be used. What specifically do you need to measure?

Yes, lower the Absolute Elevation for each room.

Definitely a tech support problem. Does it happen if you close and immediately reopen the plan? I've never seen or know of anyone reporting this here or on ChiefTalk.

Look at the Materials List specific toolbar -- shown when looking at a Materials List.

Turn grid snaps off, and/or check your dimension defaults for Locate Items. If it's the outside edge, that's the edge of the slab.

Backup Entire Plan will capture all the materials along with the plan file. These materials will (should) be available as normal -- just not in your library. One of the articles in the KB link is moving the software to a new computer which will tell you about moving library files.
