paulmeinhart
Hi! Wondering if anyone has any advice on drawing a 10-sided floorplan? I'm having trouble getting the 2nd and 3rd walls to line up properly. I notice there is an auto-polygon maker for decks, but i'm needing a house plan, not a deck. I can draw a 10-sided poly in cad lines, but again, when I try to use the exterior wall build it won't line up. Anyone have a 10-sided foundation plan? Any advice would be great, many thanks!! solver
Check the knowledge base articles. https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/support/article/KB-00667/drawing-an-octagonal-structure.html Too easy! @paulmeinhart -- just change the room type to something other than Deck, and the walls to whatever wall type you want.
DavidJPotter
What software are you using, they all have different capabilities and routes to solution? DJP
LawB10
Import the image to Home designer and trace over it.
DavidJPotter
Depending upon which software title you have, you may be able to simply use the polygon-deck tool which will create a perfect polygon deck which you can then convert the railing walls to whatever walls you wish. That IS the easiest way to draw a polygon house but not all titles have that feature found under railing draw tools. What do you have? DJP
