    Door inset options

None that I know of. I imagine this is low priority as typical houses in the US are not built like this. Watch on YouTube: http://youtu.be/C3HMYUdG_44?hd=1
  2. You cannot do these things because that's the way the program works, the program is not broken, and it's not a bug. These are features that you can find in the Chief Architect products.
  3. You are looking at the Materials List section which specifies how a material reports to it. This has nothing to do with structure. A material is like paint, it's something you apply to show a representation in a camera view. It sounds like you should be looking a Chief, as it has all these features that are missing from Pro.
  4. It's a limitation of Home Designer.
  5. Unlike Chief, Home Designer is limited on doing things like adding materials from the plan to the library. Normally, you would create them in the library, not in the plan if you wanted to reuse them. I know of no way to get them into the library.
  6. My fault as I forget how limited anything but Pro is. I opened your plan in Architectural and could not find a way to fix what you have. Suggest you start a new plan and copy/paste into it. Select the Wall Tool, then holding Shift, marquee around the plan. Copy and paste/hold position into a new plan. Select things like steps and do the same.
  7. Did you search tracing? Do you see how to import an image?
  8. Go to Plan Defaults and change the concrete to treated. Then open the deck and check Default.

    Can't Move Wall?

You can freely move objects, including walls by holding the Control (Ctrl) key when you drag.

    Can't Move Wall?

When you select a wall by clicking on it, it will show edit handles that you can use to move or extend it. Right where you click will be a square move handle. The cursor should change when you hover over it. Hold the left mouse button down and drag the wall into place.
  11. Moving walls like this cleans up the foundation.
  12. Thanks -- now on to the problem. Watch on YouTube: http://youtu.be/leij9O56_gQ?hd=1
  13. The best way to do this is via Plan Defaults. If your rooms are using defaults, then the change is automatic. If not, Edit>Reset to Defaults Choose All Floors and Floor and Ceiling heights.
  14. Don't know what he did, but you can draw whatever wall you like on the foundation level, or you could give the room inside a negative floor height.
  15. You mentioned using a Pony Wall. You can break a wall and assign a different siding to the new wall segment. You can use a Custom Backsplash -- probably the simplest way. Place a garage door from the library and set it to show open in 3D. Or maybe a Doorway. Create a new door from soffits, slabs etc. Block the parts together. Won't look so good in Vector View because of the extra lines, but will look seamless in Standard View. Create one in SketchUp and import.
  16. Did you tell Chief that? Maybe a VPN (virtual private network)? It could look like you are in the USA or whatever country you are from.
  17. Download and install the trial of Suite 2021 and see if it will activate.
  18. In your last image there is a break in the wall. No room def in the garage?
  19. I'd start by uninstalling the program using a program like Revo Uninstaller (for Windows). Then install and try the activation.
  20. Wait until the end to change the foundations manually. You might also send the plan in to support. https://support.chiefarchitect.com/
  21. I took a quick look and did not see anything obvious. Suggest you copy the good foundation part to the opposite side.
