? 2 slabs, one on top for the soldier course.

I'm guessing you want a trap door as in, pull that rug back -- there's a trap door that leads to the cellar and you can hide down there -- type of trap door. Make a room with the room divider tool outlining the hole. Make the room open below. Make the door from a soffit. Apply the appropriate finish to the soffit.

Someone was watching football while recording the video, and it's drowning out the voice of the man making the video.

Can't help you with this one Alan. I have noticed the program will often make seemingly random changes to parts of the model not being worked on.
-
You have Final View, or Final View With Shadows.
-
Another missing feature, but you have a creative solution. I have used a Custom Backsplash over an entire wall and applied brick, stone etc. It will cut itself around doors and windows, although I only remember using it on walls without them. You can set a thickness to it just hides the base or other trim.

Looks like you have multiple pitches on your model. I’d be surprised if the house were built like that, and looking at some additional imagery (from Bing) seems to confirm that. Looks like you have mastered the hip roof. Nice house and location too.

I sort of assumed the same thing about layers. Could hardly believe a program like this does not allow control over layer settings and defining ones own layers. You have no control over which items are assigned to which layer. I wanted to be able to generate several roof plans for a single floor plan and put each on its own layer, or create multiple kitchens, each on their own layer for just 2 examples. Anyway Pro is not as "Pro" as I expected.

Since you have disallowed the silly (but only) answer (soffits), you only other choice is an upgrade to Premier. Maybe someone else knows a better way.
-
I see you upgraded -- good choice. There is no single layer. It depends on the object as to which layer it's on. SketchUp items are on the Fixtures, Interior layer.

Research Display Options. Please attach an image instead of a PDF of an image as an image shows directly in the forum.

I think you are overthinking this. A layout file represents 1 page. Open a layout, send something to it. Close it. Open another layout, send something to it ..... Try it in the program

See this KB Article.

I'd just move the structure, but in Pro, right click on the terrain perimeter after it's moved to floor 1. Select Convert Polyline, then choose Terrain Perimeter. This may make the program see this as a Terrain. Otherwise, Edit>Edit Area>Edit Area (All Floors) to move the building to floor 2, then delete floor 1. Do this in a copy of your plan just in case.

You have Walls, Main Layer Only checked -- uncheck it.
-
Insert a new floor under the house. Use one of the available tools -- Soffit, Slab, Closed Shape from library to create the columns. You can set the roof materials, I think, in your roof defaults. Not sure about the metal framing. I believe you would need Pro for that.
-
My understanding is that a plan may have multiple layout files associated with it, but each layout may only have 1 page. Which is what DJP said. You don't need an individual plan for each layout, your save as is for the unique layout file.

How does it look one level up? How about using a Full Camera to have a look.
-
Take a standard base cabinet, make it 1” deep, or maybe ¾”. Change the unwanted parts to Insulation Air Gap to make them invisible. Adjust the size of the door and height of the cabinet as needed. Place it against the side of another cabinet and Control-Drag into position.
-
Don't understand what you are modeling. How is the "deck is supported on two sides with walls"? You might consider using Balcony instead of Deck for the room type. Suite lacks the framing tools you need.
-
I'd let the program get new content, but you should be able to import the libraries.
-
SketchUp walls won't be HD walls -- just place holders. What's showing in the materials list that you don't want? Set the walls to Invisible and nothing will show in the list. Do your plan and print, then set unwanted walls to Invisible, run Materials.

No changes. Opened it and took a look. Maybe I need to offer that as a paid service?
