Those items need to be placed in a cabinet -- they are not freestanding. The refrigerator could also go into a wall, I believe.

You may need to draw in your own ceiling planes as they often do not follow the roof pitch. And as David said -- all one room.

I don't, but do remember this thread. With Pro, this should be easy, or at least easier. Start a new thread if you would with any questions, as this will now be Pro specific.

Anyway you could post a picture? I don't remember a tree shaped cursor. Does it randomly revert, or immediately?

What happens if you make the parging a separate layer? I assumed you had looked through the window DBX and had seen the sash inset option.
-
Do you know how the brick wall is constructed? These are often double wythe construction where there are two brick walls built back to back. In this case, you might use the outer wall as the exterior finish, and assign the remaining layers as needed. And to answer your question, I believe there are no other window related options.

How does it look from the people perspective -- not from a position only a termite could be in?

I took a quick look and did not see an easy fix. I'm surprised the roof builds as well as it does.

Model your beam with a soffit. They will accept molding like a wall.

I don't think you can do what you want. I have adjusted the height only after building the first floor. Chief works the same way.

I've requested, at least I think I have requested, the ability to set a benchmark in a plan, and an offset, so that you could have multiple structures on a plan easily all with the same or a different offset, so you could use floor 1 as the 0 height in each structure. Surveyors will often set a benchmark on a building site that all elevations are relative to. I don't think I'd want an additional 20' added to all the dimensions, and the only way you might do it is to manually change floor 1 settings (not defaults) to reflect the additional 20'. You might be able to go to each floor above and use Reset To Defaults to raise them. I'd do a test plan and see.

Look down 8 or 10 threads.

Cause and fix: Some programmer at Chief.

None here. I did go through a period where my internet was on and off, and the program would freeze for less than a minute while I suspect it was trying to phone home to verify the license. You might contact Tech Support for the best help.

Good There is a search on the Knowledge Base page that searches several sources. That's a good place to start. --------- Resources for self help: The built in Help System (always a good place to start) Knowledge Base YouTube

Check under Dimension Defaults.

You cannot create layers in any of the Home Designer products. Imported items, like things made in SketchUp, are always on the Interior Fixtures layer. The software is very modal -- you must close a dialog to continue. Very frustrating. So no leaving things open.

Copy the good wall, Reflect About the center of the room (garage) to make a copy on the other side.
-
Don't know what the problem was with the garage walls. I copied the one with framing to the other side, and drew in a new front wall. Built framing and all looks OK.

Have you tried a Control-Drag to place it? Select it and move it while holding the Control key. Could you post the plan? The short answer is you cannot remove the molding on just one wall, but depending on exactly what you are doing, there may be alternatives. Need to know which surround etc.

Posting the plan is the best way to get an answer to questions like this.

One of the keys to using the software, especially the titles that don't have all the options is learning to use the available tools to create what you need. I see walls with a pass-thru to make the opening. You may need to place some soffits inside the fireplace area to clean things up.
