  1. Please post the plan file. Never seen this. What happens if you reverse the swing so it swings in? What happens if you exchange the door for a window?
  2. Posting your plan file will help our suggestions. Many variables are at play here and far easier and faster to be able to see what you see, rather than going back and forth with guesses. That said, I would read up on Edit Area.
  3. Look up Roof Cuts Wall At Bottom. You would need Pro 2018 to read my file. Mostly, I wanted see how moving the front wall of the open space on the right back would look. The headroom upstairs is limited, and enlarging the dormer would sure help.
  4. The program does not like this condition. I got it to work, but not sure I could easily duplicate. With such a simple foundation, you might do parts of it manually. I'm guessing you want 24" stem walls on footings with a slab on top. Also assume you are where it gets cold, or where you need to go down to stable ground? A typical driveway has no footings. Footings are usually found below a stem wall and are designed to spread loads from above out over a greater area.
  5. How about this?
  6. Defaults are settings that you make. The program has suggested defaults, but should be set to your settings if they differ. Ceiling heights are an example. Exterior walls are another. You should take the time to define a new wall type where you are using different materials. Then use that wall type when drawing the structure. Notice how all the settings are at their default? You need to look at the model as the sum of its parts, not as individual pieces. I can "fix" one thing, but at the expense of something else. I'd still suggest starting over. Much easier than trying to correct everything. People tend to try things -- settings, in an attempt to correct problems. These changes often do not get reset and result in even more problems. It's very time consuming and almost impossible to undo all the unintended changes that have been made.

You have posted the same 2 questions over and over -- plants and cars. Here is a video that may give you some ideas. http://www.indyblueprints.com/videos.html Look at the 3rd video. It's for Chief Architect, but you may get something from it. You might also consider an image editing program like Photoshop. This would allow you to do many things easily that are difficult or impossible to do with Pro. Is this the look you are after?
  8. One problem is in the way the software works. Instead of looking at individual parts of a structure, like your problem wall, we need to find out what is causing the problem, and it's likely not the wall itself, but a problem elsewhere in the model. Because we do not know what your intent is, correcting problems is often difficult. As an example, none of your rooms are using default ceiling heights. No one but you knows what is correct. Your stair/stairwell does not work. Problems with the foundation etc. Look at the fascia height difference on the 2 gable roof planes. We also don't know if you are doing this just for some ideas, and you plan to turn the project over to a professional, or if you are wanting construction documents for permitting.
  9. I noticed enough problems that I'd recommend starting fresh with a new plan. Focus on the structure and let the embellishment wait until it's correct.
  10. Post the plan file please. Are you asking about the dormer side wall?
  11. If your software has the Custom Backsplash tool, it's an easy way to do similar things. It may be shaped in many ways.

I'd direct this to Chief Architect, clearly explaining what type of structure you want to design, and let them tell you the best product, if there is one. To be clear, Chief Architect, the company, has several product lines, Home Designer and Chief Architect being the two marketed to users wanting to design a house.

I'd suggest posting in Seeking Services on ChiefTalk (same username and password). This is where the professional users are that could help. Also, you should be more descriptive. What form are your plans in now? Do you want the house decorated? Do you want interior and exterior? Where are you located? https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/forum/15-seeking-services/

That's not a Dome Home, just a house with 1 curved roof plane. Pro has that ability built in to it's Dormer tool, if you can make that work. Otherwise, David's solution, while tedious, will work. When someone says Dome Home, this is what I think of.
  15. How about duplicating your post in Tips & Techniques. Here are a couple of tips. CAD lines are useful for centering when there is nothing else to center to. You can see one at the top and one on the right of the image. Center them on the room, for example, copy and paste on the floor above. You can now center things easily in reference to the floor below. When using Pro, you could use the Roof Cuts Wall At Bottom option on the cupola walls. See the roof plane highlighted, and how is been pulled under the cupola wall. This cuts the wall and keeps the walls from showing on the inside. For the image I showed in the post above, I used 3 floors. This technique can be used if you don't have Pro.
  16. How do you know no one has figured it out? You never asked. Something is wrong with the video -- says it's unavailable. Here is one I just did. Used 3 floors, the center one having invisible walls and located in the attic area of the first floor.

None of the Chief Architect or Home Designer products do round shapes well, and you would need one of the Chief Architect products to do curved roof planes. To answer your question, I'd say no.
  18. No, you were clear. Just can't understand why you want to do this. Will the low slope extend across the entire left side of the house? If yes, make the front wall Full Gable, and chenge the pitch in the left side wall dialog to 1.
  19. Since you have Pro, you may draw the roof manually, easily getting just what you want. Look through the YouTube videos for some how to info.
