    Gabled end color

Did you post the correct file?
  2. have you checked the bonus catalogs? Or google 3d Warehouse.
  3. Check the 3D Warehouse (Google it) before creating something yourself.
  4. You will need to raise the gable roof way up to get the shed roof under it and allow the auto roof builder to work. Go here for info on doing the shed roof.
  5. Thank you. They are neat tool -- indispensable for modeling things and creating symbols, and one of the reasons I upgraded to Chief. With Home Designer you just need to be creative with the available tools, and understand the capabilities of the tools at hand. Slabs, soffits, custom countertops and custom backsplashes can all be used for purposes other than what their name implies.
  6. Windows and doors have a lintel that changes the top piece of trim, and may do what you want.
  7. Did you download the installation files from the internet originally, or did you only purchase a disc? Is there nothing in your digital locker? Do you have the key you will need to enter if you do install?
  8. Uninstall then install. Not sure what you are asking.
  9. I believe that's how Pro 2015 works. No way to change it.
  10. 3D or elevation. Only as a way to eliminate the base trim showing on the exterior. You are creating a room that is within the roof structure, so it's not seen.
  11. Post the plan and I'll look at it in my copy of Pro 2015.
  12. It looks like you have show line weights on. This dialog is from a newer version, so no help, but it shows the idea. Are you seeing this in plan too? There is a Show Line Weights toggle under one of the menus and maybe an icon on a toolbar.
  13. Worked for me. There is something odd about your plan. I copied an interior wall from one of my plans and pasted into yours. All that showed was the framing -- (I had turned all layers on) -- no drywall.
  14. I looked at your file and could see nothing obviously wrong. I'm guessing it has to do with the Autocad import. Once you have traced over the walls, select and copy them (select a wall tool, hold shift and marquee around the plan to select all walls), then open a new plan and Paste/Hold Position. You should see the walls missing in the first plan. You might send this off to support with the Autocad file and a good description of how to reproduce.
  15. Decks default to no roof, so you need to change that. And the program has built in help for different roof styles.
  16. No one can help without more info. Attaching your plan file -- close Home Designer first, will give someone something to see and work with. Attaching pictures or drawings of what you want to model will also help.
  17. What items are you referring to? Where did you download them from?
  18. Group select the deck walls and change them.
  19. For moving a group of walls, try Point-to-Point move.
  20. Pro has a Polygon Shaped Deck tool which is useful for laying out octagons and other similar shapes. Just change the wall type and room type.
  21. Do you have a word processing program like Word you could paste the image into?
