  2. Tried what? Here are 2 slabs that I shaped.
  3. You are seeing a dimension line. Select the far left dimension as shown. Note the circled spot where that dimension has located a corner far down the side. Select that diamond and drag it down to the corner pointed to by the arrow. Not sure why it's doing that. I'd send the plan in for Chief to look at. https://support.chiefarchitect.com/home
  4. Posting a simple plan file will help with quick and correct answers. Close Pro first.
  5. In Plan View, select the soffit and open it. Set its size and location. Take a Cross Section. Select the soffit, open and set size and location, drag it, use Transform/Replicate to position it.
  6. You can use Edit>Reset To Defaults to clean things up.
  7. It's usually helpful to post the plan file. Close the software first.
  8. Under build wall framing (not defaults) you have this checked. I unchecked it before changing the defaults. Forgot to include that bit of info -- occupied with cooking dinner ...
  9. I changed the default to 6" and the walls immediately changed.
  10. I'm not seeing that problem. You will need to post your plan file.
  11. Usually best to start a new Topic with a question. Simply place your chosen object (soffit, slab etc) and shape it as required. Custom Countertops and Soffits may have moldings attached, but only horizontally.
  12. Usually best to ask questions in Q&A. Use Soffits, Slabs, Custom Backsplash etc.
  13. @IngeJones It's usually best to start a new thread even when your question is similar. It also helps to post an image or drawing showing what you want to do. Have you tried reshaping a slab to fit? Place a slab, grab one of the side or corner handles and drag ...
  14. Search Help for points, or maybe delete points.
  15. You have multiple manual dimension tools to choose from, but you will find they don't snap to the framing. You can place CAD lines and points and points a dimension to them. CAD lines can be set to have arrows and to show their own length, and you can set their length, so they can double for a dimension. You can use a text box with or without an arrow to show dimensions.

    Shed Roof

Build the roof automatically, or read up on doing manual roofs.
  17. Read about Framing Reference Markers. Try setting header sizes in Framing Defaults. Framing is not smart so it does not change based on your modifications. Is your overall goal to use the materials list? Does someone need to see accurate framing -- permitting/code enforcement?
  18. Nothing is wrong. Try removing the exterior dimensions -- Edit>Delete Objects and see what happens.
  19. There are no restrictions. Give it a try
  20. If you are just designing the interior, then just draw the exterior walls. It's the interior dimensions that matter, and no need to think about a foundation.
  21. I took a quick look at the roof and get different results -- I don't have Suite 2017 to view the plan with. I did notice several wall alignment problems shown here, and there may be more. You can see where the 1st and 2nd floor walls are not aligned, and these should be corrected. Select the incorrect wall and there is an Align With Wall Below (or above) tool in the Edit Toolbar that will align them. Sometimes these small things can change how the roof builds. It would be helpful to know how this area should look.
  22. Mulling windows is not possible in Home Designer -- only in Chief Architect.
