You probably need Chief Architect Premier for a curved or barrel ceiling; it can be rented for $199/mo.

The typical (more affordable) 3D printer output would be approximately 12" x 12" x 8" in size. The larger printer can be very expensive. So, depending on the size of your room, or house, would drive the scale of the 3D print.

Not sure I completely understand your question; there are several cabinet door styles to choose from in the program. You might watch the overview video, see the kitchen & bath segment.

You are very close! I did two things to your plan: 1. aligned the invisible wall in your nook to the outside of the wall 2. aligned the attic wall with the wall below. and, 3. I noticed a wrinkle in your roof on the opposite side, so I made your ceiling the same height in your entry (it was different by 1/8" than your other rooms). Fellas House Weird Roof-2.plan

I modified the roof manually in planview using HD Pro very quickly. If you don't have Pro, for the automatic roof to work, I did these steps: Remove the setting for the walls to extend the roof downward Make the wall thickness is the same as wall 3 and align collinear; set to high shed gable Set wall 3 to high shed gable; and do the same to the wall in the attic; then, for the attic wall align it with the wall below Lower the nook ceiling height ½” – not sure why… Set wall 5 to full gable

I see. There are several places that offer 3D printing you could send your file to and have it printed for you. I typcially send my larger prints out to have them printed as well.
-
Would printing a 3D model work? You can export an STL file and send it to a 3D printer perhaps

Brian, I'm not sure what may have happened when you reversed the plan; but, you can use the backsplash tool and it should work fine (in this case there is no backsplash setting on your base cabinets)

Michelle, a few things seem to be going on: 1. for your framing overview - turn off the layer 'roof planes' if you don't want to see them. They are located under the display options - see attached 2. you are seeing red, because a> you maybe missing textures; you would know if you get a message when you do a 3D view; it could be that you moved the plan from it's original location; or, b> did you turn on watercolor? you may have to call so we know more info. (my view looks okay, but it is missing some of your textures)

Can you post the plan so we can see what you are seeing?

Can you post the plan so we can see what you are trying to do? And, what product & version you are using.

Bryan, you can use the tool "convert polyline". It will show up once you select the object you want to convert in the lower menu. You can then choose the option to convert it to a terrain feature and set the height and thickness. See the attached image.

Yes – that can be frustrating actually. The library for railing styles is limited to the millwork category – so the panels from the fence & railings will not work as you might expect they would (they should). I’m not sure what version you have, but in HD Pro, you can draw a manual railing and use the panels (use the railing wall tool and set to follow stairs - see attached) Sorry for the inconvenience – it is something we have on our list to address.

Try using the Transform/Replicate Object tool. There's a rotate angle for a specific rotation amount
-
Use the DAE file; it’s a Collada format – many objects in the 3D warehouse support both DAE and SKP. Sketchup files in the SKP format, are the older style (32 bit) and the Mac will only read 64 bit.
