Kristine, it appears the alignment of your invisible wall for room definition is misaligned. I would first try to align the invisible wall according to the image I posted (A or B). Based on your 3D view, it appears one area has a ceiling the other does not. It that case an invisible wall takes on the properties of a 4” interior wall to correctly generate the attic walls above. Aligning the invisible wall to the other ‘visible’ wall is preferably done to the wall’s main layer (“A” in the diagram). It could be that issue as been resolved in a newer version (the plan I attached is Home Designer Pro 2023). Hope this helps! Room.plan

Jeff had a great idea. Here's a similar variation.

Kristine - if you manually lower the walls they could be cutting your ceiling platform. You might replace those walls with "half walls". Half walls are railings, you can set the height and they won't cut the ceiling.

I'm not sure you can get that look exactly. You can put a wide casing with a bevel and a thick wall.

In Home Designer there is a 360 export under the File menu.

Heather, you can 'zip' your file. Usually, find the file on your system, right click and then zip. It should condense it so you can post.

Heather, welcome to home talk! Looks like you have several questions here. It might be helpful to isolate some of those separately; and if you post your plan, others can take a look. On your door/window question, frequently if you cannot move those, it may be bumping a ceiling or floor platform or even another wall. You can override bumping/snapping by holding down the control key and then moving the object with your mouse. Cheers,

Jonny, welcome to the forum! Here are the steps I would use: 1. Open both files 2. In the as-built file with your house a. use the tool Edit Area (All Floors), drawing a marque around the outer edges of the as-built, then b. use the copy tool in the lower edit menu 3. in the terrain file a. be sure to have all your floor levels created – foundation, second, etc. – and they are empty (no walls, etc) b. set the floor heights to the same as your as-built – e.g., 8’, 10’ ceilings c. use the paste tool and then move the as-built around on your terrain d. it’s best to move the house and not the terrain Hope this helps!

You can find a sample plan of that cover house “Italian Manor” on the Home Designer Samples page. As far as Spanish attributes, look for the stucco walls and tile roofing. If you download the sample plan, you can see how it’s put together.

You can change the molding for the floor default; or room by room. Double click in a room and go to the molding panel

Your plan is very impressive! It appears it was created using Chief Architect? The ‘rim joist’ on your deck had been modified in such a way that Architectural did not have the tools to make the change. I turned off the auto deck framing and was able to paint it. The file is located here

You can use a fence symbol, place it, and then rotate. This is how the scene below was created in Chief Architect. You should find a fence symbol in the Home Designer library.

Rob, I'm running a MacBook Pro with the latest Ventura. It seems to be a very fast machine with Home Designer.

David, the Style Palette tool is in the Chief Architect product line (not Home Designer). You can download the trial of Chief Architect, open your Home Designer plan and take a look.

You probably need Chief Architect Premier for a curved or barrel ceiling; it can be rented for $199/mo.

The typical (more affordable) 3D printer output would be approximately 12" x 12" x 8" in size. The larger printer can be very expensive. So, depending on the size of your room, or house, would drive the scale of the 3D print.

Not sure I completely understand your question; there are several cabinet door styles to choose from in the program. You might watch the overview video, see the kitchen & bath segment.

You are very close! I did two things to your plan: 1. aligned the invisible wall in your nook to the outside of the wall 2. aligned the attic wall with the wall below. and, 3. I noticed a wrinkle in your roof on the opposite side, so I made your ceiling the same height in your entry (it was different by 1/8" than your other rooms). Fellas House Weird Roof-2.plan

I modified the roof manually in planview using HD Pro very quickly. If you don't have Pro, for the automatic roof to work, I did these steps: Remove the setting for the walls to extend the roof downward Make the wall thickness is the same as wall 3 and align collinear; set to high shed gable Set wall 3 to high shed gable; and do the same to the wall in the attic; then, for the attic wall align it with the wall below Lower the nook ceiling height ½” – not sure why… Set wall 5 to full gable
