  1. Fixed window on the top, doorway underneath. Doorway reduced height, bottom raised, no threshold. For the opened window, use a wall cabinet with a top hinge framed panel door (option set to open), (set to how many degrees open) panel material (glass). Set the cabinet materials to misc-no material (except for the door ). CTRL slide the cabinet into doorway, and set the height from floor until it is correct. Create a custom countertop extended to the outside.
  2. cabinets won't arch, so think outside the box. What other object allows a top arch, and also has framed glass panels?
  3. Open the knowledge base and search for "Gull Wing" roof.

    hole in the wall

It appears that you've been using the software for almost 7- years, and you haven't figured out which wall you needed to extend?
  5. Allow the program to create a 2nd floor. Move to the 2nd floor of the program, and delete the 2nd floor walls on the house.
  6. Use a room divider wall to divide the deck into 2 halves. Open the room dialog box, deck tab, for one of the halves- change the plank direction to 45°. Open the other half, change the plank direction to 135°.
  7. If you want to get good answers, then you need to use the correct terminology. That is not sagging roof material. That is the ceiling of the tiny room. Open the room dialog structure tab, and check ' use soffit surface for ceiling'.
  8. Square off the bay by creating 2 small rooms on each side of the bay, using invisible walls. Open the small rooms and set them as 'open below'. Set the entire front bay wall (including the front invisible walls) as 'gable'.
  9. On the HD catalog download website, the catalog for Cabinet Hardware #2, specifically for Suite 2023, shows an itemized list of what is in the catalog, and Patrick bar pull #2 is shown. If there is a problem with the catalog, then it should be reported to HD.
  10. I see that the cabinet hardware catalog you downloaded, offers Patrick bar pull #1 and #2. Do you think perhaps you should have chosen to place Patrick bar pull #2? on your cabinets???
  11. You have NOT filled out your signature. In the forum link posted, it does not matter if the different roof materials are on one structure, the "fix" is the same.
  12. Not true, David. This question has been asked before on the forum, and resolved.
  13. Just guessing, but are you wanting the roof to look like this?

  15. As Rookie65 said, ALWAYS start with building the house, first. Then create a terrain perimeter. Open the terrain dialog box (DBX) and set the basic terrain according to it's relation to the house (subfloor height above terrain). Experiment with this in a sample plan, until you understand how it works.
  16. You said, "The Architectural upgrade is not much different than what I already have...Suite 2023". You are mistaken. There is a lot of difference between Architectural and Suite. On the Home Designer website, look at the comparison chart for Suite versus Architectural. Architectural has many more important features that are not available with Suite. To name a few: Sloped soffits, custom countertop, custom backsplash, Architectural Blocks, pony walls, vector view. These features are useful in many other ways, other than what their names imply. The scalloped trim was done using a custom backsplash.
  17. Some items you just have to create for yourself. In my example, I used 'grab bars', sized correctly and placed on the window. When all the bars have been placed, select/group them, and block the group. The grab bars are available in the bonus catalog download, Accessible Design.
  18. Assuming, you want a frame around the glass? Easiest way? Find a picture frame in the library that will let you substitute glass for the pic in the frame.
  19. You should know by now, that something like this should be posted in Q&A.
  20. DJP...That is exactly what I did. I don't know why your backsplash wouldn't stay in place on the cabinet front. My backsplash is 1/2" thick, and stayed where I put it.
  21. That is why I suggested he re-read the previous posts. Eric suggested using the custom backsplash.
