  1. I think you need to post the plan file, so that someone can see what you have done, instead of guessing.
  2. Why would you set the sub-floor level at 48" ? And why did you put the batten siding on the foundation level?
  3. Open the terrain Perimeter dialog box, and look at the options there, (sub-floor height above terrain).
  4. Search the Knowledge Base for Belly Band.
  5. YAY! Success! You can use a soffit for the beams, or a closed box shape (from the library).
  6. And you still do not seem to understand the difference between a flat roof, a shed roof, and a gable roof. The pic you posted does not really show much of the extension on the back of the house, which is where the roof problem is. To eliminate the ridge shingles: Draw a room divider wall between the angled walls of the windowed bump-out, creating that area as a small room. Open the dialog box for the bump-out room, and start lowering the ceiling, by inches and fractions of inches, until you see the ridge shingles disappear.
  7. ?? Pay attention to what you are describing that you want. A shed roof and a flat roof are not the same. A snip pic jpeg of the real house (not a google snip) Might be more informative.
  8. First, get the shed roof correct. (read about upper/lower pitch). If the attic walls do not build, (#1 on your image) draw them on the attic level, and check them as no room definition,or attic walls. The custom roof opening you are trying to do, is not possible with the tools available with Suite. A large skylight is the best you can do.
  9. If you have already chosen the template style for your plan... Look In the library, Architectural > Cabinets > Style Template Cabinets. There are 8 styles there. Carefully look at each style, as they are all slightly different from each other.
  10. To create different foundation heights, wall off the area you want to change, open the new room, and change the stem wall height.
  11. "It will then combine but you lose the edit screen for each". Not true. Click on the block part you want to edit, and hit TAB until the selected part shows edit handles. CTRL+E will then open that part to be edited.
  12. This is the forum for the Home Designer product. Chief Architect Premier has it's own forum.
  13. The entire basement should be set to the 8' ceiling height you specified. The terrain is then adjusted to expose the amount of foundation wall that you want exposed.
  14. The 2d floor plan image does not match with what you described. is the porch in front of the garage the "open below" room? Have you made sure all the interior rooms (including closets) are set at 96"? Is it supposed to look like this?
  15. You have hijacked someone's thread. Please delete this post, and start your OWN thread.
  16. mav2294, Your question is very vague. Not enough info on what you want, and what you currently have.
  17. y-g-m-n ?????????????
  18. The ceiling you want, is not clear in the image you posted. I suspect that the ceiling plane you want, contradicts the roof planes. You probably already know that Suite does not have the tools to do this. You need to create a ceiling plane at the correct angle in the external modeling software you are using, and import it into your plan. Floor plan suggestion:Who wants a toilet practically in their living room. YUK!
  19. thebeedubya said: "If you look at my last post, you'll see I had to create some invisible walls in order for it to work". That is poor advice. Invisible walls have nothing to do with it.
  20. Do a search in the Knowledge Base Articles.
  21. If you created the 2nd floor, by adding new walls to the existing attic walls, then those attic walls are still designated as"no room definition". Until you can select the area as a "room", no stairwell will be created, because the program can not find the room above the 1st floor.+
  22. Upper/lower pitch setting on the deck's hip walls.
