What you ask for on the forum, is too extensive for any in depth replies. You need to watch the video tutorials, https://www.homedesignersoftware.com/videos/ and then practice and experiment until you understand how the software works. That design is very complicated for someone new to the software. To answer your question, "Is it possible?" Yes. And it CAN be modeled using only the auto build roof tools, that Suite and Architectural offer.
-
In the 2nd pic, it looks like you were able to build the steps. To add more info about that, Suite does allow custom landings, but that is not necessary. -Draw the 1st 2 bottom steps; allow space for a landing; draw the set of 6 steps; allow space for a landing; draw the final step. Click at the top and bottom of the 6 steps, and the landings should automatically generate. Looking at the space you have, and depending on ceiling height, the step riser height will be a steep, almost 9". For the closet beneath the stairs, like Rookie65 said, draw an interior wall and drag it under the stairs.

Thank you for filling out your signature, showing your product and it's version.

Unfortunately, you will have to turn auto roof build back on. The red "hatched" walls show the new addition walls. NONE of the 2nd floor walls should have "no room definition" checked. Only the attic walls will have that checked.
-
The walls you can't delete are attic walls having "no room definition". You need to draw ALL new walls on the existing 2nd floor (for the addition) and make sure where they connect to an existing 2nd floor wall,is NOT an "attic" wall, or you will NOT get a "room" (with a floor).

Big guessing game.

I see that you posted the plan, but I am unable to view that with my program.
-
You haven't replied with what was asked.
-
You need to post a screen shot showing your efforts, and then specifically explain what part of the blue picture you are unable to replicate.
-
I see 3 dormers in the pic you posted. Which on are you trying to do?
-
What is "Studio"?
-
Not enough useful info, for anyone to offer much help.

I think that is a VERY old Home Designer file format. You should contact tech support to ask if there is still a way to open the file.
-
You will need to place and shape individual landing steps.
-
When you open the exterior house door (within HDPro), is it level with the interior floor?
-
Tips & Techniques category, Is for sharing something you've learned, with others.

Maybe an extended U shape stair?

You need to learn some terminology, when you ask questions. I see NO dormer in the pic posted, only a gabled porch with no ceiling. ALSO, you need to fill out your signature, so that anyone trying to help, will always know which program (AND it's version) you are using.
-
If you removed everything from the interior of the house (as you said), then the file size should be little more than 3mb. Far below the upload size limit.
-
You have not filled out your signature, so no-one knows which program (and it's version) you are using.
-
You should explain more about how your foundation is built.
-
If you give enough important information, then you will get good answers. If you set your ceiling height to 87", the door and windows will position correctly.

Lowering the floor in HD Architectural resolves the problem. However, HD Pro behaves differently. Turn off auto rebuild roof, and delete the invisible walls. The floor will heal.
