  1. There is no rule saying you need to use all the automation. The program is designed to auto build common conditions and when you deviate, manual work is often required. Your overhang would be trivial to do using the manual roof tools. They are one of the key features of Pro. Did you set that room to Open Below and uncheck this.

    Gable over porch

Your porch wall is not aligned with the house wall. Aligned
  3. Don't get hung up on the phrase bump out -- that's what you have. You are just using invisible walls to define it. Make the settings in the walls as Help instructs.
  4. Search the forum for spin. Use a screen recorder to make a video. Home Designer (Chief Architect) has some cloud options too I believe.
  5. When you are looking at the block, you are really looking at an image that's wrapped around the surface. It's not a bunch of individual blocks. For your top plate, make the walls a pony wall, with the upper wall 1-1/2" tall and only framing. You will need to adjust some settings, like the number of top plates.
  6. Cut the window, place door, Paste/Hold Position to put the window back.
  7. Search for a recent thread for some info and a video.
  8. You can use a standard truss. Change the settings to make it build like you want. Wood grain direction will be correct.
  9. There is a Seeking Services section here, but it just links over to the one on ChiefTalk (for the Chief Architect products). https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/forum/15-seeking-services/ Suggest you not hire anyone from outside your country, and try to find someone close to you, but that may not be possible.
  10. Did you read about the tools in Help?
  11. It's still connected to the cabinet. Select the cabinet, Tab to select the cooktop.

    Gaps under walls

On your foundation walls, move the concrete into the main layer, and read about how the program aligns walls one over the other.
  13. Did you search the forum, or the Home Designer website for prow? Here are some tips to get you started: https://hometalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/8582-getting-started-with-hometalk/
  14. Because that's one of the many things the people at Chief decided to omit from Home Designer. Chief has all the functionality you desire, and it's all easy and automatic.
  15. You can try using the Delete Surface tool, then Export 3D Model (DAE or STL), and then Import 3D Symbol.
  16. How did you rotate your plan? In general, you should use Edit Area when rotating a plan. Grab the rotate handle and spin it around, or use Transform/Replicate to rotate an exact amount.
  17. I believe this was changed as newer versions show things correctly.
  18. Yes there is. Have you just forgotten how the program works?
  19. That's called a frieze. Don't think it's an option in Suite, but check your Build Roof dialog. It would be listed on the left side.
