That's a limitation of the Home Designer products. Headers are always just above the opening.
-
Search Help for Camera Defaults.
-
Look in the Library for shapes.

What you are seeing is probably a limitation of Suite, but you can paint a material everywhere in plan with a single click -- no need do every wall. Read about using the Material Eyedropper.
-
Why not? What happens when you try? Have you ever placed a circle before? Do you understand that you click then drag to place the circle?

There are roof videos on the Chief YouTube channel and my YouTube channel.

Click Library on the menu bar.

You can use a Custom Backsplash -- draw on a wall then move into the cabinet, or Sloped Soffits.
-
Think about what's not shown in that view. Take a cross section.

What might be filling that gap?
-
Try drawing a new freestanding deck off to the side. Does it have the same problem? You might attach the plan file -- use Edit Area to cut out just the deck if you like.
-
Open the deck room and review the settings.

Only Pro has truss tools. If you open Help and search truss and do not find anything, you can figure the program cannot do trusses.

Suite is limited in many ways, and I believe this is one of them. I see no way to save pricing. You do have the option to export the materials list, so it's possible to create a utility to do this if you have or develop the ability to do so.

Open the doorway, look at the General panel.
-
Turn off the window casing and use a Custom Backsplash. Drag it across the window -- it won't cover the window. You can copy and paste from window to window.

Help requested for auto roof generation problem in Home Designer Pro 2019
solver replied to BorisGodunov's topic in Q&A
This is from Pro 2020 -- I don't have 2019 installed. Just opened the file. No changes. -
You probably should build your basement/lower level on floor 1, and use the foundation level for your footings.
