    My Roof

Looks like you have a bit more to do ? Did you try auto building it too? Maybe in a copy of the plan so you could compare.

  7. Also try placing a sink outside the cabinet. Say Yes to the alert. You should be able to select the sink directly and change its size.
  8. Try in a new plan. Don't build a room, just place a cabinet and sink. Select the cabinet, one TAB should select the sink. If not, you might contact support.
  9. A tip from the ChiefTalk forum. You can use a Rectangular Polyline (CAD>Boxes>Rectangular Polyline) as the selection area for Edit Area. Draw the Polyline, shape it as needed, then Edit>Edit Area. The Edit Area tool will use the selected Polyline as its selection, giving you the ability to better choose what is selected.

    Deck Railing

A picture will help us understand.
  11. With Pro, you may draw in your own roof as needed. If you don't want to do that, draw in a room using a Room Divider. Set it to open below, ad adjust the roof parameters to give you the look you want. You could also select and copy the roof plane, delete the walls forming the room, then Paste>Paste Hold Position to put just the roof back in place. Manual roofs are not really difficult, and once you have a bit of practice, are far easier than trying to trick the software into building the roof you want.
  12. The answer is in post #6. Did you try the settings suggested there? The problem is -- I don't understand what you don't understand. Posting a screen capture of your attempt, or even the plan file would help. Have you drawn the 26x26 and formed a gable roof? What is happening when you try to add the shed roof?
  13. Posting pictures, or describing exactly what the problem is will help us help you. I imagine you will need to set the new outside wall roof settings to use the Upper Pitch setting. 3, and 12 for the upper. play with the In From Baseline settings to make it look correct.
  14. It's the way the automatic roof generator works sometimes. You will need to trick it into doing what you want, or upgrade to Pro.

    Soffit

Using a soffit is the easiest way, but you can also make that space a separate room, and use a Lowered Ceiling. Edit the Ceiling Finish for that room to access the correct dialog. Soffits do not contain framing, if you are concerned with that.
  16. Response from Support. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have forwarded the information to our development team of Software Engineers. In the mean time, the work around would be to place it over the window without using the window treatment specification dialog. Just click on it and click over the window. I apologize for the inconvenience.
  17. I just tried it -- looks like a bug to me. I'll report since I'm using a current version.
  18. Either apply the curtain directly from the library -- not as a component of the window, or place a curtain from the library on a wall, reverse it, add it back to the library and then use it as a window component.
  19. Do you have a Reverse Symbol checkbox when you open (Ctrl-E) the curtain?
  20. Did anyone notice there is no attachment?
  21. You don't need to worry about the attic. It's just a space above the ceiling, not something you manually create. Follow this Knowledge Base Article, except build a mansard roof -- the general idea is the same.
  22. Have you reviewed Build>Roof>Build Roof Roof Styles or searched the help system for Mansard?
  23. I'm not clear on your problem, or the "attic and top floor". Is there attic space contained within the mansard part of the roof?
